Just when I started to get excited and all they started introducing really badly choreographed fights... I was really expecting a bit more from HBO and the actors on this one, seeing what HBO did with Rome for example. + Show Spoiler [ep5] + Jamie vs Ned was complete bullshit... I mean, supposedly the most skilled swordsman in the seven kingdoms and a veteran of no less than 2 wars duking it out and it looks like some kindergarten kids swinging at each other... They could do one of the two things: 1. Hire someone who knows this stuff and make him teach the actors and prepare the choreography (like the most basic thing and the most common mistake in the movies: swing at the man, not at the sword). 2. Direct the show as a play in the theater (it got some potential when Baelish nearly broke the fourth wall once) so no one can complain about bad CG, fight scenes etc. It worked really well for Dune and The Children of Dune miniseries. I think swordfights as in Game of Thrones are far more realistic than those in, say, Spartacus. These are big swords and people are trying to kill, not to entertain yeah exactly, i dont watch GOT for some jet li kung fu crap, realistic swordfighting is not pretty its just people hacking at each other Well, that's just my beef with it. It's neither realistic nor properly done, making it just bad. They should opt to either make it realistic (ie: short, simple, brutal) or entertaining (ie: a lot of useless swinging, dodging, slow-mo bullshit) and so far they fail at both. And just so you know what I'm aiming at here: Realistic version. Valhalla Rising Entertaining Version. Troy Valhalla Rising, such a beasty movie, strange. I felt like the movie was my own opponent during the time I watched it... lol I agree, the fight scene were awesome, realist and pretty sick (despite having such a little number of fight scene during the whole film).

The part where Robb cuts down those thugs, in the book Greywind and Summer also join the fight, and rip shit apart. They should be almost full grown now I really hope they have some sort of plan to make the Direwolfs Direwolfs. TrueBlood was a pretty big failure when+ Show Spoiler + i've seen the 90kg+ huge hairy men transform into ~25kg doggies, called Werewolfs

TrueBlood was a pretty big failure when+ Show Spoiler + i've seen the 90kg+ huge hairy men transform into ~25kg doggies, called Werewolfs It wasn't their intention but it seemed the animals that played the direwolves just couldn't perform their tasks. They ruined an awefull ammount of shots and after a while they pretty much wrote them into the background. I can understand that. There are only so many takes you want to re-shoot just because some animal can't stand still. I think HBO will remember that and just CGI them in the next season. As for episode 6, the end is without a doubt the biggest thing to happen this episode but regardless of how painfull it looked i seriously flinched when i saw Bronn cut the knight in his leg. Damn that looked painfull.

+ Show Spoiler + All the barathreons (or how you spell that again), the house/family that the king come from have black hair. In one of the early episodes we saw the queen and jaime lannister have sex, and the lannisters have blonde hair. (since sansa said that she would have children with blonde hair with joffrey, that was the reason ned stark went to look in the book). So probably jaime lannister is joffrey's dad and not the king.

The black hair of the Baratheon's always won-out over their partner's hair color. Until Robert and his children, that is.

The seed from which Joffrey came is "strong" in that it is incestuous, much like how the Targaryens kept their blood "pure" through incest. At least, that's what I initially assumed from reading the first book, before it was officially revealed to mean the other. Either way works though.
