So we now have the Wildlings, Mormont, and Hornwood to fight for Jon and Sansa. What was the other house(s) that was mentioned? I was expecting to see them travel to House Manderly, but maybe in the next episode. I liked how there was an emphasis on how Robb pretty much tainted the Stark name.

The whole Arya thing is just too unbelievable.
The wounded Arya is probably not 'really' Arya or not at all Arya.
The waif is the 'real' Arya or the part of Arya that is no-one.
The whole thing is Arya becoming no-one by killing herself.

Or something along those lines. I just can't see the normal way of her recovering and sailing back to westeros happening.

To Baelish (Littlefinger), I think. He said to her that he had reinforcements when they met with Brienne some chapters ago. If you look to today chapter scene, Samsa has doubts about sending the letter. Because she does not have any confidence in him, but it is their only chance to win the war.

Really hoping for a twist in the Arya story. If an ancient cult of asassins can't kill a little girl, and fail to notice the same little girl bleeding all over their home city then I'm gonna be mad.

Awesome episode, best of the season by far, really enjoyed it.

- The Hound returns! Even his intro was epic with him carrying the weight four other men carry
- Ian McShane was great (though short

)
- Cinematography of the entire Hound scenes was beautiful
- Margaery confirmed not a religious nutcase
- old priest brokering for sex for Tommen xD
- Queen of Thorns absolutely blasting Cersei and it was all true so she couldn't even counter 10/10
- House Frey acting like the failures they are
- Jamie smacking the Frey in the face with his golden hand 10/10
- Bronn dissing Jamie
- The Blackfish being a badass
- Us viewers getting another dose of 'really guys the Starks are not the good guys they were noble but dumb'
- Lady Mormont was great. Calling Sansa a Bolton or a Lannister :D
- Littlefinger getting his way in the end as he always does (Assumming Sansa's letter is to him and his knights)

Only thing I didn't like is the Iron Islanders using their 1000horsepower powerboats again. ' The Iron Fleet is in slavers bay' Oh that's only on the other side of the world and there's a continent in between you need to sail around. Just like with Theon's rescue party attempt few seasons ago. Those ships are FAST

Pretty much have to accept that timelines are very fluid and strechable between the different scenes. But I wish they did a better job on chronological feeling sometimes. Though I realise it must be very difficult, and other series like Vikings are way worse with time skips while having a much simpler story.

I think the series lost a good step compared to earlier seasons. It is all over the place, each location just getting a few minutes screentime.with some of the locations being clearly inferior quality wise (Doorne, some dany scenes). Imo it lacks coherence and focus by now, writing gets worse. Characters and their motives get much less development time, character depth gets reduced to throw more locations in. I think quantity over quality is a good expression on how I feel about this season.

I still watch it but if I would have to rate the season it is quite clearly behind the "middle seasons" (2+3+4).

Probably my favorite episode this season. 0 dud scenes and the writing was very solid. I'm rooting so hard for Team Theon these days

I like this season better than the first ones (which I still enjoyed a lot): we don't have a clear 'good vs evil' scheme like with the Stark vs Lannisters of the beginning of the story, and I enjoy almost all subplots
The last 2 episodes were really really nice, I hope the final ones are as good, they set up for an amazing season finale
