You don't create some cool wall with a whole culture and back story around it for it to hold people off for 7 seasons. You knock that fucker down. The white walkers would be extremely lame if they were built up for 6 seasons and then were stopped by a wall and 3 dragons. I will be in awe if it makes it through the series and I am even willing to bet that it falls at the end of this season.

Those "rules" are exactly there to be broken, because that makes things more interesting. Yeah, I am not show that GoT is bold enough to deliver on this, apart of a couple of shock death, it has been pretty schematical, sadly ... If there was a well-done show that breaks all these stupid cliches, I would really watch the shit out of it.

I cannot describe how lame it would be if the White Walkers got to the wall and were just stopped. An apocalyptic threat needs to change the state of the world, otherwise they are just lame ice dudes that are out done by a wall of ice. And in a narrative sense, the Wall is a feeling of safety for the viewers. It is a huge imposing structure where people will make their stand against the white walkers and maybe win. It is expect that mankind will make its stand at the Wall. Which is why it will come down, to remove that illusion of safety. If you want to show to be unpredictable, destroying the Wall is the way to go. They are not rules, it is good story telling to provide the audience with tension. There is no tension while that Wall is up.

Anyway, I assume Margaery is being into the Faith is a con and she doesn't believe in that shit. Tommen is an idiot. Jaime getting fired is absurd, when he "attacked" the faith (without violence) the political and religions powers hadn't been united yet. Seems like a plot shortcut to send Jaime north, which is fine. Really happy to see Arya is back tho ![]()

I assume the High Sparrow "suggested" that to Tommen. And you cant blame him for that since Jaime was about to get the High Sparrows head of his shoulders if not for that Tommen + HS alliance.

I don't think bad guys eventually threatening the good guys is a cliche that you want broken. Sure, they can break that cliche, but it certainly won't make the show more interesting. The white walkers were built up to be the big bad since day 1.

The Lannisters seem to being doing a shit job of handling their faith problem. Cercei and now Tommen are actively giving power away like it's nothing.

Well yeah haha. Since Joffrey died it's going downhill. Does not help that Cerseis special plans seem to only dig her grave deeper ![]()

She's bringing a horde that are motivated chiefly by the desire to burn shit down, rape the women, kill the men and take anything not nailed down. Now maybe she'll tell them that they're not allowed to do that but then what the hell are they even coming along for? The logical outcome would be for her to ship them all back home after she won but even then they'd be taking captive women, gold and other riches with them. It's not the best invasion plan. It'll work out the way this tended to work out in history: the Mongols/Arabs/Goths will rape and plunder, then decide that it's more fun to rule over a court with a well supplied harem than to continue fighting for scraps in the mud.

Except the Dothraki have been raping and plundering for thousands of years. They show up to the cities and if it's been a while since a good sacking then they attack them and either sack the place or die trying and if they've worked all that out of their system already then they get paid to attack someone else. If they wanted to settle down they'd have settled down after any of the times they conquered somewhere. Maybe some of them do but the continued existence of the horde is evidence that they haven't settled yet.
