That's because it does not have an important role in the show. It's exactly the same as in the books. + Show Spoiler [Vague] + The nurse woman preaches about creatures over the wall, but it's automatically dismissed by Bran. Jon seems to be guarding something random over the wall that doesn't exist, and it only turns out to be some rebels. You go many, many chapters without any sort of magic or fantasy, and then in the third and fourth books they all explode. They hint at fantasy because the story does revolve around fantasy+ Show Spoiler + just not now

That's what's interesting about the setting of the series - otherwise it'd just be lord of the rings with sex scenes and liberal use of the word "cunt" When you put it that way, it doesn't sound too bad at all .But on-topic anyone who is complaining about the lack of 'fantasy-ness' should just wait for later episodes.

Had no idea about them, but since the series decides to mess up the chronology - Now I do! I'm on the same boat. I had no idea lol but I guess some of it is spoiled for me now.

That thing live in the flesh must have been an absolute monster. I also agree, when I read I thought the biggest was like maybe the size of an elephant's head, not big enough walk into! Book Spoiler + Show Spoiler + Can't wait for the eggs that danery's has hatch

The aurochs were far larger than most modern domestic cattle with a shoulder height of 2 metres (6.6 ft) and weight of 1,000 kilograms (2,200 lb).

I loved it, Tyrion just owns each set he puts a foot on, Bronn was lovely. Lysa was creepy enough and the mild dripping from the young lords lips was perfect. The Ned-Jamie confrontation was very well done. The mountain and the hound, varys and little finger all very good confrontations. Arya and Bran were again very good i am actually liking this bran more then the books. The gay scene, i guess it was needed to adjust the story a bit, i didnt need it ... but then again, i allready knew they were gay. The only thing that i had issues with was ... the king and queen having a converstation. really, wife to husband. Why are they trying to make this woman nice? It really didnt fit, she controls her legs and with her legs she controls everyone else, not with sweet talking.

I think they want to make her more likeable, so when/if she does the nasty bits, it will be even more of a shock... Also I like that the queen and king get a bit more screen time. + Show Spoiler [book 1 spoiler] + cause the king is going bye bye

He was taken when he was very young and grew up in Winterfell, and the Starks were always kind to him. Robb is like his older brother. Edit: Ninja'd like five times -.-
