It certainly looked like the place had been made flammable and the girl had to have some sort of role. Good writing doesn't have to spell everything out. Obviously Dany can't manipulate fire, she's just immune. | ||

 When I saw the scene (especially when she burns the last one of the khals) I had the impression she was somehow controlling the flames (which I think it's quite cool).. ok, not a super-important point anyway | ||

And most people tend to be somewhat in awe when they see someone walking out of a literal inferno unharmed.
