I think it should be the book thread that should have a no show spoiler.. (Hope that's not forbidden talk. I haven't read a line of Martin's work.)

I think it should be the book thread that should have a no show spoiler.. (Hope that's not forbidden talk. I haven't read a line of Martin's work.) Rules haven't changed. This thread here is spoiler free. While the show has caught up with some parts of the book series, other parts including entire storylines, haven't. And of course the books give way more and additional information on the storylines that have "caught up" as well. If you want to talk about book content, go to the book thread. Same goes for discussing information from leaked episodes.

For me Ramsay has been a good character to develop over the last few seasons and has become a great villain to hate/love... But I am disappointed in how long it's taken for the true fantasy elements to come into play plot wise. Even Hardhome mattered little last season with almost no mention or impact for Jon and the Wall. Its just a bummer since season 1 had very direct foreshadowing, and season 2 ended with what appeared to be an assault from the Whites.

Imagine a mid-league ladder game and a tournament final between the same matchups are being broadcast at the same time. You have two chat areas set up. One is for people who, for some reason science will never explain, only like watching the ladder game. The other is for people watching both games. (And before you say it, yes there is an explanation. They are just hopelessly obsessed with starcraft and will watch it in any form.) If one of the dual watchers pops into the ladder chat and tries to talk about what is happening in the ladder game in terms of how the game is played by the pros then they are just bringing in irrelevant high-brow BS and they are also violating the intent of the separate areas. If the players in the ladder game tech up to T3 before the players in the pro game start using T3, the future events of the pro game have not been spoiled.

This episode was one of the weakest in the whole series. Sand Snakes never fail to dissapoint. Hotah dies with a stab to the back? Wtf? People have also pointed out that there is a scene previously where Melisandre is in a bath tub not wearing the necklace but still young. Huge plot hole if not explained. Dumb Arya/Margaery scenes, completely irrelevant. Hope it picks up next week.
