Arya.. she is watching what is basically an insurance salesman? (who either did or might renege on paying out claims) I didn't follow that part to well. Using bet/gamble/winnings made him sound like a loan shark which threw me off.

But apparently he doesnt pay out if the captain does die.

I had a bit of the same feeling too, that it was too much of a coincidence, but that's only because this season was full of stupid coincidences that were just too ridiculous or unnecessary. Eventually you start feeling that you're watching nothing but coincidences and it can spoil a good episode like this one. or the white walkers could have been planning the invasion for a long time, noticing the agitation in the Free Folk settlement they decided to anticipate it making it look like a coincidence

Yes, basically if you are poor with a family and have no other option than to work out at sea which apparently is highly dangerous you can pay him a small sum of money as insurance should you die out on the sea. That way you still make a good earning on the sea and if you die then at least your family gets something from your death. Btw, the army of the undead really means business ![]()

Which is why the man pleaded with him once he had returned from his voyage. Asking what will his wife and child do as he was expected a nice sum of money since he made it back without a scratch.

I was very surprised how well they portrayed it, how much effort they put in it as well. And not only the CGI, also the models/costumes and fight choreografie was great. Rest of the episode was also good. Only flaw was "Arya's" acting which is getting more and more annoying to me.

Nah pretty sure he was begging the insurance guy to take his money and sell the insurance to him while the insurance guy was playing hard to get.

Btw, the army of the undead really means business ![]() They need to rig up some Lady Deathstrike style Dragon glass claws for the giant. I think it makes a lot of sense for Dragonstone to be Dany's first target. It will be the easiest way to get Westeros on her side. She will gain a Valyrian stronghold and corner the market on dragon glass and will take control of a major sea lane.

It's the complete opposite, the man wagers the captain will live. If the Captains dies the winnings from the bet goto the Captains family. Essentially making it life insurance.

We know this is a very touchy subject for Ramsay, He will be back to being a Snow in all but name. Killing Stannis wouldnt change that So what if his plan is not to kill Stannis but to make a deal and betray Roose instead. He opens the doors for Stannis and in return he becomes Lord Bolten and Warden of the North. Stannis's honor code would require Ramsay to bend the knee and be punished for the crimes he's committed, which I assume is death but I could be wrong
