Although it doesnt change the path =)
Volantis is where Tyrion was kidnapped. Pentos is the start of the journey.

It seems she cannot conquer peasants with unsullied alone :D I would argue that there is a difference between conquest and the guerrilla war the Sons of the Harpy are waging. A parallel to what happened in Iraq (which I would guess is no coincidence). These peasants don't have access to bombs and AK-47s. Much harder to be effective when you have to go into melee vs "best fighters" in the known world. Modern day insurgents don't have Abraham Tanks, Helicopters and Fighter Jets, Combat Drones and Battleships and Tomahawks. we can make some comparison. Most of these are useless vs urban guerilla fighters. Those fight normally come down to infantry vs infantry and bombs and firearms are great skill equalizers. And Peasants in Mereen don't have those.

True, but still logistical support, marine equipment and training etc are far better than that of an insurgent. So is command generally.

The difference in skills, arms, training, and logistics are similar enough for a reasonable comparison. Her failure to control the city is a political one not a military one (not so coincidentally the same thing that happened in Iraq).

Now that Tyrion has seen a dragon, I think he will slowly but surely start believing more in magic.

John Snow is damn stupid, he should go with Stennis and become the new Lord of Winterfell.

Whenever I look at the map of westeros I find it hard to imagine that D&D will be able to really finish the series in the coming 2 seasons. Leaving aside all the storylines amongst the westeros families, Daenerys and her dragons are stil sooo far away from westeros and the everything that's beyond the wall is still a huge mystery. I really hope HBO extends the series beyond 7 seasons and the creators want to keep going.

Stennis the mennis! (Stensch the Mensch?)

I wonder what Stannis would do to you for misspelling his name.

Plus he's not wrong, if he bails on the Night's Watch to become a Lord, and a bastard Lord at that, it won't exactly engender a lot of trust with the North. Stannis has a lot of faith that they would come running to him when that may not necessarily be the case.

If Jon Snow takes the offer, Stannis would have to take his head for deserting the Night's Watch. Also, even if Jon was declared a legitimate son, he still gave up all claims and titles by going to the Wall. Can Stannis just overrule all of that? And if he can, would the people accept a bastard and deserter as their lord?

And if he can, would the people accept a bastard and deserter as their lord? *if* stannis wins the iron throne, I think he can pretty much do w/e the fk he wants. As for the people of the north, the fact that the boltons murdered the starks in cold blood, are are currently pillaging and burning their way through much of the rest of the north, would probably outweigh jon breaking an oath when it came to picking sides.
There would probably be a few unruly lords after the fact, but in terms of picking sides bolton vs stark/stannis, it shouldn't be hard.
As it stands, which side sansa chooses would probably be a big deal in the end, although there isn't really any way for stannis/jon to know that.

A king has the power to release people from their vows.
Also: John Snow did those vows, not John Stark.

I think the author actually gave them permission to push the storyline further than the books right?
