The difference in skills, arms, training, and logistics are similar enough for a reasonable comparison. Her failure to control the city is a political one not a military one (not so coincidentally the same thing that happened in Iraq). | ||

Plus he's not wrong, if he bails on the Night's Watch to become a Lord, and a bastard Lord at that, it won't exactly engender a lot of trust with the North. As for the people of the north, the fact that the boltons murdered the starks in cold blood, are are currently pillaging and burning their way through much of the rest of the north, would probably outweigh jon breaking an oath when it came to picking sides. There would probably be a few unruly lords after the fact, but in terms of picking sides bolton vs stark/stannis, it shouldn't be hard. As it stands, which side sansa chooses would probably be a big deal in the end, although there isn't really any way for stannis/jon to know that. | ||
