I think there is a difference between pride and honesty. He wants to lead his people to be free, not "slaves" or underlings. He promised them this. So HE cannot hand them over to be the loyal underlings of the King south of the wall, or he would have liedt to them and broken his promise. But maybe someone else who did not promise such thing could do it, and in the end it really is not a bad deal. Maybe even Jon Snow is handed the task to do exactly this. And maybe the red-haired fire witch finds out that he is in fact the son of the former King (because of the hair). Or is he? They are SO different and I really liked the old one, as he had a special flair. Maybe I once knew it two years ago and simply forgot, but in my mind they are totally different people. And since season one screen time of Daenerys has been so painful, she is clearly arrogant and ignorant and not royal at all (and I get the feeling that she is just the same in real life). People just didn't realize it because she was naked. Hoping for less screen time of her and more of the imp Just one more day until episode 2 | ||
