Against their terms of use, but you are paying for it so I don't consider it the same as pirating it. Otherwise the only way you can access it is with an iOS device? help.hbonow.com/app/answers/detailHBO/a_id/118 You have two subscription options: in-app purchase through iTunes and independent purchase through a participating provider. On Apple TV or a supported iOS device, you can use in-app purchasing to get your subscription using the billing information in your iTunes account. If you don't have an Apple device, or if you prefer not to use iTunes for your subscription, you may be able to get a subscription through one of the following subscription providers: Provider Contact Information Notes Optimum www.optimum.net/HBONOW 866-262-9329 for new customers 866-213-8225 to add HBO NOW to your existing Optimum account Optimum operates in the northeastern United States, and their HBO NOW subscription offerings are limited to their normal service area. How fucking stupid is this? LET ME BUY YOUR PRODUCT HBO!

Pirating is still the only way to watch the show. HBO doesn't seem to mind.

HBO use to be almost impossible to pirate, they were all over planting trackers or whatever so they could have ISP's send the angry letters out. But by season 2 of GOT that shit was everywhere. I think they realize the problem, they (at this point) seem to be more content letting internet savvy international viewers watch for free, rather than cut a less than savory deal with international distributors so more people could watch. If I put my Boss hat on for a second the explanation that comes to my mind is "wait till the series is over, then relaunch it internationally, that way it looks like constant revenue, instead of a spike for GOT international.

Of course I'm not a lawyer and the laws may differ from country to country on this, so research and use at your own risk. A potential legal dispute will be not with HBO, but with the local holder of GoT/HBO distribution rights, for example SKY for many European countries. To them you will be pirating their business of exclusively showing HBO content. Not saying that it's likely you will ever get caught "illegally" paying for HBO NOW. But at this point legally streaming GoT is still next to impossible in most parts of the world.

It makes sense for Martin and his publisher to keep a lot of content exclusive; omit and deviate from the books' true plot. They want the remaining books to sell as well as they can, which can't happen if people are too spoiled by the TV show. But I hope they don't cut out too much content and have alternative/additional storylines that don't detract from the show's quality.

As long as the show keeps it's godlike quality I don't care whether they follow the books or not. I'll probably never touch the books and just wanna be satisfied with the show.

Didn't go because you had to go few hours early to get a ticket, but I think that's pretty cool.
