Completly off topic, the boats are SO over te top its not funny anymore.
On topic:
I loved the dream of bran, the crow was maginificent. And the longer the show runs, the more i think the books are so much better. There just is not enough time to give a full view on all the chars. I dont think you can actually do that in a tv show or it will be very slow, but i really do miss it. Allso, the wolfs need to be bigger, i need them to be freacking scary.

Ha, the new creeper gif Zelniq's added to the OP is awesome.

Soooo good

Episode 4 was awesome as usual, Jaimie looks so awesome in full kings-guard regalia. One of the only real "knightly" looking one of them in my opinion. Kinda threw me off when Robert's bastard son was the same actor as Chris from Skins though, I kept waiting for him to start smoking weed or do something ridiculous.

King Robert: "I bet you smell like blackberry jam! Lemme smell you!" as Jaime closes the door contemptuously. HAHAHAHAHHAA I had to stop and rewind with my friends who were watching it just to hear it again.
That creeper gif is amaaaaazing. The actor playing Sansa is so beautiful and funny-looking at the same time. She was so beautiful all made-up for the tourney, and so drawn. I can't believe how good the casting is. The family resemblance is so important, AND they managed to find people who portray their characters convincingly. Like everyone else in the whole wide world, I am utterly and completely won over by Arya, though I sorely missed her "That's not me. That's Sansa" from the book. It's jarring when some things are left out because so much of the other dialogue is taken word-for-word, haha.
Overall, I'm quite thrilled with the series. Like others, I was hoping for impossibly lavish sets and huge-ass crowds (Spartacus!), but maybe next season when there is more money =D =D
It's really fun to read this thread. I read all the books once in 2007 (in a mad frenzy; I could not put them down) and I'm reading them for the second time now, in preparation for Dance coming out in July. So it's fun to see what non-readers think of the series and read their speculations, and see who you guys like and dislike. My significant other really dislikes Tyrion for being a total ass. haha.
It's really difficult to watch it with non-readers, because I'm already so invested into the series. If they dislike it initially, I'm like "you just wait! So much more happens!" If they like it, I'm like "oh no, don't get attached to that cha... wait, I've said too much" ... If they don't like a certain character that I do like (aka Jaime... Tyrion... Lady Stark... Sansa... everyone), I'm like "...TRYING TO BITE MY TONGUE" hahaha....

Gregor Clegane isn't big enough; he's supposed to be 8 feet tall!

I noticed that as well. :D That guy is awesome.

The actor is actually pretty immense, over 7 feet tall, so I wouldn't worry about it too much. The hound's actor is big also.

I forgot his name though (too long ago^^) but he's the mercenary who goes with tyrion^^ i love him, i hope they portray him correct. caant wait ° He allready did. Bronn is the guy that sells his room to Tyrion when he is in the inn. In my mind i portrayed him much younger but the books have him about the same as he appears in the show. Appearance wise anyway.
ah okay. i couldn't remeber the books that in detail. I thought he was mostly silent when all the other knights stood up for lady stark.

GOOD NEWS for all users of HBO GO(or is it):
"HBO Go will exclusively make available the following week’s episode of new HBO hit Game of Thrones right after the May 22 episode, which ends with a cliffhanger that Kessler said will entice fans to immediately see what happens next."

Edit: and I thought I checked for reposts

Well it is as big of a news for all of us torrent users :D

I think this could get messy in the thread when certain people only have seen one episode.

this is possibly the best tv show i've ever seen. ever.

ugh, the 2 week wait is gonna be horrible :o, I feel like they're offering me a present but punishing me for accepting it.

Don't think theres an actor that could accurately portray Clegane tbh. Might not even be a living person

The actor is like 7'6" so he is about as close in size as you could get in someone who can act. He is also very excited about the part so I think he will do a good job
|
He also has extensive training with medieval weapons so that makes him all the more suited. I think his size is hard to capture because on horseback it's not really clear.
Next episode we will see the mountain on foot so we can judge his size then. Ofcourse you should take into account that an 8 feet tall man in the medieval ages would have appeared a lot larger then an 8 feet tall man does today.
Clegane's size in the books could very well be a result of all characters being smaller then usual. An effect somewhat lost with a cast full of average-western sized people.

Sigh. I was hoping to go legal to enjoy this awesome series but then I was met with the usual "To access HBO GO℠, you must reside within the fifty states of the United States of America."
