So, one of the spy guys or the strange southern guy. Or Sansa. Or some faction that isnt really involved in kingslanding politics.
The southern guy also seems like someone who would stab people in their face.
Poison hints at some spy or a woman, as they tend to use poison when killing.

Also, tyrion still has hope, its pretty easy top see if the cake or the wine was poisoned.
Maybe they even make him drink the wine, so he will die or proven innocent.

"The southern guy" is called Oberyn Nymeros Martell, he is my favorite so yeah everybody should know his name :D

I don't think Tywin makes sense for killing Jeoffrey in this manner. I don't doubt Tywin could do it and probably wanted Joffrey dead, but this isn't how Tywin would do it. This type of death is embarrassing to the Lannisters and makes a mockery of their royal wedding. If Tywin was going to kill Joffrey it would be done much more discreetly I feel.

edit: someone above linked a scene with tyrion/tywin and thought it was about tywin hating tyrion, and man we couldn't misinterpret that scene any differently. I thought it was about as close of a heart felt talk between son and father as tyrion is ever going to get from his father.

Also, regarding book readers, someone brought up a good question, why do you even post in this thread to spark discussion, make predictions etc? What on earth is the point? I understand coming in after big moments, like what happened last episode and reading reactions or commenting how happy you were seeing Joffrey die etc., but why continue having a discussion about the plot and possible outcomes? I'm not speaking to those that purposefully try and spoil for trololz, the whole purpose just seems fucking insane, there is a full discussion thread on these very boards if you want to talk about the show. I don't understand the motivation, it seems quite psychotic.

It says at the top to not even mention the books, which is good. If you've read them and accuse someone else of spoiling stuff just because they're speculating then you're actually the one spoiling it by confirming their speculation. PM the mods or something instead of calling it out in the thread.

Actually not necessarily, although things like stomach ulcers complicate that. But a lot of things that will fuck you up in your blood stream are totally harmless in your digestive tract.

Looking at the final episodes, when Tyrion has to grab Joffrey's cup again, Margaery's mother (forgot her name for a second) keeps looking at the situation, kind of comforting.. For Tyrion it'd be too dangerous to do such a thing, I don't think anyone but paranoid Cersei might've suspected the Tryells. I'm sticking with either Margaery or her mother right now.

Ok, well it is obvious that the death of Joffrey is supposed to be so convoluted, especially considering that GRRM himself wrote the episode presumably so that he could portray all of these possibilities as plausible. I am sure that this will be explained and start unfolding soon, but until then...

I was even more curious about Bran's foresight. So Bran is a worg and he has foresight or whatever it is called? It seemed that he could see the future and relive the past. Is that another power that he has like being a worg, or is that some sight that the Old Gods from that old tree planted in him at that moment?

Also if you rewatch those 30 seconds a few times, there are about 3 scenes that I am really curious about. One we already saw in the trailer to season 4, which is a large dragon shadow flying over King's Landing. That is pretty self explanatory, but my anticipation is growing more now.

The second one is the voice we hear saying: "Look for me ... beneath the tree." It sounds like Jon Snow's voice to me and would make sense because they are relatively close to each other. Also, what tree is he talking about? Is it the Gods that are saying that to Bran in his voice, or is Jon saying that to him consciously somehow?

And I found this one the most interesting. We saw a shot of it snowing inside the ruined Throne Room at King's Landing. That implies there was a battle and the throne room was destroyed and that it is finally Winter.

I assume that these foresights don't necessarily mean that they would happen this season since that's a lot of development to happen in 8 episodes with everything else going on, and I didn't think Winter was coming that fast.

Lastly, fuck off book readers. Quit spoiling our fun and don't post plot discussion. Why don't you instead contemplate the value of your lives when you do such childish shit. Come on, keep TL a happy, fun place.

Tywin never seemed particularly enthused about the royal wedding for monetary reasons etc. I liked the theory someone posted earlier about him wanting to build a massive Lannister Empire where Lannisters rule all parts of Westeros, but I don't see how killing Joffrey gets him there. Perhaps he'd rather have the younger son, Tommen, I think his name is, take over the throne since he's probably less of a piece of shit than Joffrey was. It would also make sense for him to want to rule as hand of the king for a while longer, since he really was calling all the shots, not Joffrey.

Tywin seems to be a Family > all kind of guy to me. Doubt he would go there no matter how much he dislikes some of its members.
Either we are alone in the Universe or we are not. Both are equally terrifying.
