[intentional misinterpretation of question] Well, if you go by the fact that every "king" in the show is called "your Grace," they ought to just be Dukes. So that makes 3 Duchies at this point. But a more sensible understanding would be to take each of the "Lords Paramount" as Ducal equivalents, making there 9 Duchies, counting the two crown Duchies (Stormlands and "Crown Lands"). Even though those are all regarded as "Kingdoms" in the lore. But a lot of early petty "kingdoms" would (IRL) be later considered Duchy-equivalents, so the paralell is not overly inexact. The other hurdle in translating titles would be the King of Westeros, who might reasonably be considered either a King or an Emperor, depending on how you take the petty kingdoms. Considering the Lords Paramount to be Ducal equivalents, the translation to traditional British styles would be: King: Majesty Lord Paramount: Grace (Or possibly "Highness" for Independent Dukes) Other Lord: Right Honorable or Lordship [/misinterpretation]

I am not up to speed on Youtube, articles, blogs, etc., so I don' t know what's out there and how to find it too well. Any new character casts, trailers, season 4 teaser videos, or new info in general? If anyone has any good resources for following stuff like this, please provide me with a link or two! Thanks http://winteriscoming.net/ has all the news/rumors. The comments are full of spoilers for all those too lazy to read the books, obv, so avoid.

Ah thank you, good site. I also recently stumbled across http://viewers-guide.hbo.com/season3/ on HBO's site. You can view seasons 1, 2 and 3 characters, lineages, locations, history and lore.

I also have this site: http://quartermaester.info/ which has spoiler control that you can set my chapter of any book or by episode of any season. Doesn't show much info other than where characters have traveled in real time by chapter or by episode, but it's still good info.

I hate not being able to check out sites like that, or even check out the TV/BOOK GoT thread on TL because I haven't read to the last book yet -- drives me nuts! Just starting the third book, so I'm almost there. They're not trying to be dicks about it and do warn you when they are going to talk about major spoilers, but minor stuff (like which actor plays which role in the next season, including a short description of the character and what he might do) will be just put out there.

The first episode is written and directed by David Benioff & D. B. Weiss. David Benioff directed the third episode of season 3(the one where Jaime lost his hand) and I think he did quite excellent in his premiere as directer. D. B. Weiss has not directed before. Alex Graves returns from season 3 where he directed the 4th and 5th episode to direct 2nd, 3rd, 8th and 10th episodes of season 4. His episodes last season was pretty good so I think it is good to see him back. G. R. R. Martin himself has written the second episode. Michelle MacLaren returns to direct the 4th and 5th episodes and I can only hope she does a lot better then she did last season. I found the directing of her episodes in season 3 to be quite terrible but hopefully she can redeem herself this time around. Alik Sakharov returns after season 2 and 3 to direct the 6th and 7th episodes. His episode last season may have been the worst episode of GoT to date so like with Michelle I am looking to see him redeem himself this season. Now for the big finale. The 9th episode has for the last 3 seasons been huge and I expect no less this season with the return of Neil Marshall as director. He only directed one episode before this but that being the 9th episode of the second season, known as "blackwater" aka. the battle at Blackwater Bay. So what we are looking at here is something similair in scope as Blackwater and something I think we definetly should be looking forward to.
