what was little finger up to during the finale?
Didn't Sansa cry an episode or two ago as he sailed away?

Yeah they were talking about him heading to the Vale for ages. Presumably he's either there or on his way.

Probably not since I don't want to get banned. Sigh. That was my point. To be quite honest I don't see why people who have read the books don't just stay the fuck out of this thread. I don't see anything wrong with what he said there, not sure why you're foaming. Because saying "XYZ is going to be important!" is a subtle spoiler? I don't see how it is. Someone can just as easily come to the conclusion I did without reading the books just speculating on the show's use of minutes. With everything going on, why devote so much time to the bastard's torturing of Theon? Clearly there's a reason for it. It doesn't take someone who knows what happens next to figure out that there's probably a significant reason for developing the bastard's character. I haven't given any hint as to why it might be important and in a series like this one it's almost impossible to predict ahead of time why any particular character might be important later, just that they will be. I don't care what you think. You've read the books and your comment has been deemed not acceptable by more than one person who hasn't. If you can't post in this thread without referring to, directly or indirectly, what happens later or telling people they are wrong because you know what comes next in the story then just don't post here at all. I really don't want to shit up the thread with this little discussion so please don't reply again, just take stock that you upset some people and try to be more careful if you absolutely feel the need to post in here again, though considering there is a dedicated thread for people who have read the books to discuss the books and the show I really don't know why you feel the need to post in a thread made for people who haven't read the books.

I think GRRM even mentioned himself that he shaped the north like Scotland, so Westeros is essentially Great Britain, the rest is Eurasia. There is 1 image in Google Image search that shows a third, southern continent, I wonder what that is about. Except Westeros is several times larger than Great Britain just based on how long it takes to travel from place to place. Sure the general world is modeled after Europe and Britain, but the size of the individual landmasses is much different. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wester_Ross It's all in Scotland clearly.

Oh yeah, and the children of the forest are clearly Gaels or some variety of celts who lived here before the Germanic tribes like the Jutes and Saxons arrived (actually way before that period) . They had a strict druid tradition and were closely connected with forests. Not germanic tribes but romans. It's also them who made the adrian wall

It personally made me think of this : As for the backround, the author was obviously inspired by medieval times (especially the War of the Roses), but he was smart enough not to be too litteral about it. The wall of Hadrian for example holds only a symbolic comparison to the Wall in Westeros. I also don't see how King's Landing is supposed to be London ! It has access to the sea, and the castle looks nothing like the Tower of London. In the end, many of those elements are usually connected to medieval european history because it's closer to us, but the Great Wall of China held the same purpose and the same symbolic traits as Westeros' Wall, for example. Same situations arose in many different parts of the world. There's also a fair bit of fantasy in the technology displayed, with clear advances in things similar to gunpower but yet no military applications although the characters are shown wearing riveted plates (and sometimes silly-looking helmets).
