Okay first the history and lore of westeros. Now inside the episode...are there any more veritable goldmines of entertainment for the GoT-addicted ignorants like me?!?!?
youtube search comicbookgirl's channel for GoT stuff, she explains house of stark and lannister amongst other few things. tbh one of the most well done blog style youtube channel

She has great GoT history videos. No real spoilers, just history before A Song of Ice and Fire's story started.

Joffery says that his real father, (Robert Baratheon) killed prince Rheagar when he took the crown. I mean doesn't everyone else in the room know the truth but have they really kept Joffrey in the dark about the whole affair? (pun intended)
This is the scene from the last episode. Joffery says it at 2:20 + Show Spoiler +
Edit: I just now noticed Tywin's jab at Joffrey "Any man who must say 'I am the King' is no true King." So many things I've never noticed before, this show is awesome!
God dammit Tywin is such a fucking badass in that scene. He is all the time, but that scene, those looks he gives Joffrey absolutely soaked with badassery

These are about the history of the houses before the books.

Eh, there seems to be conflicts about that. Depending on the source, Tywin Lannister could be credited with much of the kingdoms' prosperity and stability during King Aerys' reign.
See:
The Robert narration is, of course, biased against Targaryens, but it's something to think about.
Heh I finally decided to give this show a shot. Saw episode 1 monday night, finished season 3 today. So good I can't believe how unpredictable this show is on who dies and all that xD. Wish season 4 wasn't a year away

Stannis is a mental midget compared to Tywin. Stannis can't even make decisions for himself anymore and has to consult some hoodoo voodoo from the mysterious woman.
Agreed.
I think Tywin vs Stannis would end with Tywin the clear victor... Although Melissandre vs Tywin would be a very different story...
This is assuming its an intellectual battle of armies and houses etc though. I think Tywin vs Stannis in a tournament style fight to the death would end up with Stannis the victor.

Does anyone know the name of the song that plays during the last scene with Daenerys once the Yunkai pick her up and carry her until the episode cuts? Thanks.

Of course. I don't think Tywin has ever seen any real combat where his life was in danger, though I might be wrong.
