Will Dexter walk into the sunset with Hannah at the end ? This show better have a happy ending.

The only other alternative I will accept is: "Dexter walks into the sunset with Hannah. Doakes shows up shoots Hanna and Dexter. They both die in a 300 style scene."

I wish writers could get Dexter caught and killed with injection and then 10 years later they make a new show called Harrison. You know the Kill Bill style. Harrison learns from his dad's past and because he had her mother killed and stuff he has these urges but in a more violent way and he finds Vogel for answers etc...

It might be the crying boyfriend afterall.

He DID recognize who the kid is in the photo but he lied and said he can't remember.
Next he goes kills the kid and sends a piece to Vogul.

He slowly been slipped in the series, getting closer and closer to Dexter.

Pretty sure Quin framed Zack. He stole money from a crime scene in the past and really wants to make Sergeant, but is unable to catch Zack. He's sure Zack is guilty of a different crime which eases his bad conciousness. I don't think he killed the woman just that he planted false evidence.

So I know how everyone raves about breaking bad as the best show on the planet, I tried to get into it and watched like the first 5 or 6 episodes of it on Netflix. I just couldn't get into it. I still don't understand the appeal of the show. In regard to Dexter, I've enjoyed the previous seasons and enjoyed this season. I don't understand why basically every post in this thread is criticism of it like it's the worst thing in the world. Different strokes for different folks I guess.

I feel like every episode of season 8 so far has been 45 minutes of cringeworthy dialogue and then 5 minutes of huge plot twists.

This episode feels so different compared to an episode of season 1..

This show has gotten to the point where its completely indistinguishable from any day-time soap. Almost every scene is a carbon copy from something everyone has seen a dozen times before and the only way to find the characters actions believable is to watch it wholly without a critical thought... It's just cliche after cliche in dialogue that you're not supposed to put thought into since none of it actually adds up. The worst parts are when they try to add arty camerashots or music sequences that are completely alien to the show otherwise, it just sticks out so much it takes me out of the story completely. Sprinkle in a dash of directionless filler about the life of side caricatures that nobody cares even little about to fill up the runtime and voila, you've got this fucking thing.

It's too painful for me to even hate-watch this show anymore.

It could be the bf guy, but it could also be a coincidence that he didn't remember him and only found him "familiar" since they only met once very briefly.

There's definitely something suspicious about Vogel too. Why did she obviously avoid answering Hannah when she asked how she got into her field? Something is there and Vogel seemed a little off before she brushed the question aside. At the very least, she's holding some important information back.

Still not sure about who it is, but I'm willing to bet it isn't Quinn. People have had theories about it being Quinn in other seasons and it's just out of character. Definitely not Quinn.

Didn't expect the kid to die though, that was a huge surprise.

It definitely has a more formulaic feel then the earlier seasons. Honestly all I want is Hannah fanservice I have given up on the plot being salvageable barring some major upheaval (everyone finds out Dexter is a serial killer for example).

Anyone else have the feeling Vogel killed Harry? I know it was stated he od'd on his medication, but I don't believe it myself. The one tape where Harry finished their conversation with, "I don't know if I can keep going with this", or something to that effect made me think she killed him to make sure he didn't confess everything.

I love the way everyone comes in each week to bitch about how bad the show has become, and then continues to watch it. Yes, it is no where near the greatness that it was during the first few seasons, but that is to be expected. It is still watchable and still within the top 10 shows out there.

In regards to the brain surgeon, I vote the boyfriend. He gets close to Dexters neighbour to watch him, then sets up Dexters little mentee so that Dexter would kill him. But Dexter doesn't, so he is forced to carve open his head.

Also I love how no one appreciates how good that plot twist actually was. I was thinking "Oh wow, the writers are going to chicken out and have a happy family ending to the show" and then bam, the new lovable mini dexter is sitting there with half his brain hanging out.
