I almost feel bad for that chick considering how much she has to work. What makes it even worse is that Dexter doesn't even do his own job anymore, it seems. laguerta character should die. didnt like her from the start and the new side story with captain matthews and this dead bathtub callgirl defenitly interesting, kinda curious about the outcome. deb best cop in this series. about the "magic" from the previous seasons you are right, i get this feeling too that something is missing since rita died i guess. | ||

Edit: For everyone feeling the show has 'lost it's magic', I think the first seasons were darker in the sense of 'keeping up a family man disguise'. It's a very different theme now because they actually let Dexter grow as a character throughout the seasons. | ||

I think this whole "I love Dexter he's so perfect" setup they're doing for Deb is not that they'll fall in love but that she'll find out about Dex's dark passenger. I'm no film student, but to me the camera work added a lot to it. Dunno how to explain it, the shots they used were just so good, and it was in the shows beginnings where it probably wasn't so high budget. The atmosphere of the scenes really added to it. The scene when the 'fake' ice truck killer asks dexter who he is and he kinda grins while looking into the camera gives me chills every time | ||
