- Religious themed [probably as a way to deal with the fact he might be realising what he's doing by murdering all those people, and that the guy he first kills in the trailer still believes after murdering his wife he can be "saved" by God]. - New serial killer who leaves behind snakes - Dexter has sex and/or gets into a relationship with a chemistry teacher - Possibly someone discovers Dexters secret again? | ||

This about this show is the story is really good but the dialogue is shit. Still lovin' the show though. + Show Spoiler + I expected the amputee doctor to be the ice truck killer but really didn't see the brother part coming. Great first series. Working on the second today. | ||

The scene where Dexter asks the immigrant-trafficking/murdering couple for relationship advice as he has them wrapped up to kill them has to be one of my favorite scenes in the show. I had such a wonderful mixture of disturbance and laughter on my face when I was watching that. I also like it because I can as a very introverted person somewhat relate to Dexter in a caricatured-version-of-myself sort of way as far as "normal" social interaction goes and having to fake it to fit in. I'm not a sociopath or autistic or anything so it's exaggerated (generally I can interact quite naturally and confidently with people once I'm comfortable with them), but it makes the character more sympathetic for me. | ||
