Byakugan is the Dou-jutsu of the Hyuuga clan, which makes them related to sage of six path's mother, Kaguya seeing as she also had it. So unlike how most people guessed years back, the byakuga is not a mutation of the sharingan, it is infact the sharigan that is a mutation of the byakugan and the god trees eye, with the rinningan being a fusion of the two. Also on a side note, waaay to many of the guys posting in here, have apparently skipped or forgotten huuuge parts of the naruto manga, and thus think to themselve that the plot is pulled out of kishimoto's ass. | ||

And to clonethorn: I have read the whole manga again a few months back, for the third time. I still think many things in this manga are huge asspulls. For example when Sasuke killed Itachi and found out Itachi's true story and then he decided to honor his late brother he teamed up with Obito and plot to destroy the village. COMPLETELY missing every point Itachi made in his life. Or the whole prophecy bullshit just now. There was a point when the characters in the manga have driven the plot forwards. | ||

You completely missed the point in Sasukes decision then. the reason why he wanted to destroy konoha is the same reason itachi saved sasukes life at the uchiha massacare, his life were more precious to him than the whole village. its by no means an asspull, not even close, ever since part one sasuke was known as an "avanger" and it was mentioned specifically when obito had his little chat with naruto in the land of iron. hell Itachi's last words to him before he went rouge made sure he'll become one so he could avenge the uchiha clan, only that he chose to avange itachi after learning his backstory in later events. | ||

Jiraya belived Nagato (pain) was the child of the prophecy because of his Rinnegan, the legendary eyes of the SO6P, who are rumored to have the power to bring total peace or complete destruction, a rumor that kind off fit the prophecy. But since nagato died without fulfilling the prophecy, he was not the child mentioned in it. except for the fact that nagato is an uzumaki which are known to be related to the senju clan, there is no mention of him being related to the SO6P. the reason he has his eyes is because Madara implanted them in nagato before he died. i dont know if nagato was a reincarnation of either sons, but if he was i dont think he would posses Indras soul, so after madara died the soul passed down to someone else. | ||

Mercy(letting sasuke live) is different than swearing blood vengeance for the death of someone you killed yourself. Itachi chose the life of a martyr for the sake of peace and to not sully the name of the rest of his clan he took the sins on himself(the Uchiha clan indeed tried to break off a civil war in pruchase of power). Itachi also planned to atone for this by dying at Sasuke's hand. Sasuke than decides that instead of being angry at the Uchiha clan, that trying to destroy the village that his brother happily lived and died for(literally) is the right response. Itachi wasn't even forced to do this. After the situation was explained to him he did it voluntarily. Obviously the village is fascist. | ||
