The show was way cooler when there were all kinds of diff fights going on, like puppets, wind fans, crazy sand shields, then some sharingan, Rock Lee's gates (supersaiyan), Naruto's demon form, juuken, shino's insect swarms, the ice mirror needles, etc etc. All the fights were different and cool.

Now it seems like every damn fight is just some stupid "MY EYE DOES THIS" and it destroys everything else. Sers, wtf kind of power was God Pain? Hi, I have super kill everything shield that I can use like every 2 seconds. That's not interesting at all.

Then there are the wtf genjutsus that are really boring to see. Mangekyou sharingan? It's literally two people stare at each other, then one guy falls over dead/tortured/etc. Wow. Fantastic. NOT. Or the other one, spontaneously burst into black flames that consume all of you and it can't be put out. What is this, Superman heat ray vision? The abilities aren't interesting anymore. They're plain boring to see. And as if a technique is gained by killing a loved one. Does that even make sense? More rubbish made purely for the sake of dramatizing. I understand it's fantasy, but so much of the later plot developments have just been needless tugging on heart strings and plot sutures to make all these mysteries make sense. When a mystery's been kept up for 4 years, yeah I'm going to be pissed when the explanation is all about some stupid eye technique.
