EPTAlso if he gets the rinnegan logic would dictate that he would be WAAAAAAAY more powerful than what Sasuke is now, and since naruto has simple childish plot, there must be some kind of eternal equality between those 2 forces, otherwise the writers would have to start writting something more thoughtful and less formulated.

I disagree. Naruto beat a pain that had wasted a lot of chakra before fighting him. I bet the 8 tal demon would have been able to beat pain at the state he was. But Naruto getting rinnegan would be so gay I'd stop reading the manga once and for all... | ||

His sharingan counters Naruto's speed/power (he can predict movements etc.), his fire counters wind techniques, and Naruto doesn't have anything against his lightning or genjutsu. We know for certain that if someone is quick enough the Sharingan user can see the movements but they won't be able to react in time. We saw Naruto speed blitz one of Pain's bodies from the top of Gamabunta from a considerable distance away so he is a hell of a lot faster than before... not to mention that Sasuke hasn't exactly shown to be the king of endurance (much like Itachi) and one hit from Naruto HURTS for obvious reasons when sage mode is active. Sasuke has no fire techniques on par with the Rasenshuriken unless you want to count Amaterasu which is easily dodged and Sasuke can only use Amaterasu like twice... Naruto can use his super technique twice per CLONE (they don't seem that hard to make...) and he has other things like his super rasengans that he can seemingly just spam. Fire doesn't automatically counter wind just because, it has to be still relatively close in power so anything besides an S-rank fire technique is going to lose against the Rasenshuriken. The Kirin/Chidori i'll grant you but that takes a hell of a setup... also Wind>Lightning and the Rasenshuriken is clearly on par with the Kirin and is far more powerful than the Chidori. Naruto has better summons, by a HUGE amount and he has more symbiosis with them. Yes I agree that this isn't like DBZ but Naruto's recent powerboosts negate A LOT of the advantages Sasuke used to have over him. The only thing really that Sasuke has are genjutsu which are negated when someone elses chakra is surging through you... a la the nature energy clones. That part is subjective but if a touch from Sakura negates one of Itachi's illusions I don't see why merging with a clone made of different chakra wouldn't do the same. Right now I'd consider a fight between the two roughly equal.. for the first time EVER. I'm fairly certain Sasuke would lose to a fight against Pain... but it isn't for a simple reason like he's "weaker" than Naruto or whatever but Naruto has the proper tools with which to engage Pain. He's got clones for distraction, a lot of chakra to use, and most importantly he has good boss level summons that negated Pain's summons. Sasuke wouldn't have been able to brace himself against that massive Shinra Tensei that Pain used on Naruto for instance. In the same way I think that the 8-tail would probably beat Naruto... Sasuke was simply better equipped to deal with that guy and still got his throat torn out. | ||

Very very stupid chapter. They had such an incredible character - and he revives everyone in the village - even people he did not... kill with that soul technique - at the expense of his life. His beliefs and mood changed in the blink of an eye. Ridiculously bad writing. | ||
