I sure would like to see a better explanation of how Pain's powers work. I know he has those weird chakra bits implanted in the dead bodies to control them, but how do those specific bodies use their chakra? That whole "God mode" thing just seems a bit over the top to me. And isn't he supposed to have the Rinnegan or something? It's like some ultimate eye technique, the original before byakugan and sharingan? It gives him mastery over ALL chakras I think? Meh, I dno, seems a bit too catch-all for me. Like it gives him free license to do anything and we have to accept it :-S

sasori of the sand was the best akatsuki. powers made sense and can make the strongest sand hokage to a puppet and use his power. also the poison was nice.

Assuming I understood the latest chapter correctly, the closer he is to the real Pain, the better he has control over the powers. The weakness of the whole system is that he is a really weak puppet master, and everything is dependent on those rods. The rinnegan IS the original eye technique, and yes he does have the ABILITY to use all chakras, but clearly he had to divide it among his bodies to make it easier to manage/more effective I'm guessing? Also, he has a chakra limit that is divided at his will between all bodies, which is why the God mode body had to take time to regain energy after the Konoha explosion. I'm sure that his chakra overall is affected by things like that.

I have to say Sasori was my favourite Akatsuki as well. Its too bad he lost so easily... I have a feeling that he could've taken out alot of the higher powers of akatsuki.

That guy died due to plot mechanisms and the fact that Sakura simply couldn't die yet. Sasori was probably right behind Itachi in strength if you really think about it. Like why would you constantly send over-sized clumps of rectangles at someone who has proven time and time again that she can just punch them back? All it took was a damn nick from one of the pellets and that's what he should have done... something like what Gaara does. You don't make S-Class by being stupid.

Sakura gets curbstomped by Orochimaru yet Sasori can keep up with Orochimaru just fine (flashbacks in earlier chapters)

Sasori was far superior to the two he lost too combined, but you have to keep the main characters alive in a "minor" fight.
