It's a jutsu that combines 3 elements and turns everything it touches into dust. It doesn't explain anything else but that goes for many things (as yin/yang chakra, shadow technique etc).
That makes sense for the name dust element.

Why is the rinnegan a direct evolution of the sharingan? It doesn't seem to make any sense to me.
Also, Anyone excited for the newest chapter of Naruto? I can't wait to see what happens with the fox and Naruto.

Oh no... now Naruto is going to be making friends with all the tailed beasts... and become some beast master. At this rate the Naruto vs Sasuke fight should be one chapter long; Naruto accidentally obliterates Sasuke with a sneeze...

Fires that can't be put out. And lets not forget... a skill that changes reality into illusion.

don't you guys think it's pointless arguing over stuff that is not supposed to be even sensible in the least? I mean all these wins/loss are meant to deliver the plot, not to have any meanings (except some "lessons"). All these jutsu are not even meant to be balanced because it's not a GAME, it's just there.

I think Naruto will become the Rikudou Sennin.

Just want to say that I'm super stoked to see how Naruto's interactions with the tailed beasts, specifically the nine-tails, continues to develop.
When does the next chapter come out?

Because the Sharingan is a genetic inheritance of the Uchiha clan, which is descended from the Sage of the Six Paths (who possessed the Rinnegan). If the Sharingan is viewed as a degraded form of the Rinnegan, then it is possible that it can be restored through genetic manipulation and this is hinted when Madara talks about his final days. A part of the First Hokage, a member of the other clan descended from the Sage, is fused with Madara's body and it's this combination which allows him to use the Rinnegan naturally. The same applies to Nagato but in reverse (Senju clan + some unknown addition of Uchiha DNA).
|
I know how Madara gave Nagato his Rinnegan. Nagato's mom was originally from Uzumaki clan that's why Nagato had red hair, and then Madara put a genjutsu on her and raped the shit out of her without her remembering. Then bam Uchiha DNA + Senju DNA mixed = Rinnegan.

It's always entertaining to read debates in Naruto threads, because both sides are usually SO SO SO bad with logic. Allow me to win each of the the last few arguments in this thread:
Waah, the tailed beasts shouldn't have names, Kishi just made that up, it's too big of a twist What? How does having names qualify as a "twist"? Besides, the beasts have always had names (Shukaku, anyone?), so deal with it.
Waah, Naruto/Sasuke is shitty/awesome and never/always wins based on skill/luck It's a Shonen manga. Both Naruto and Sasuke were born with ridiculously OP abilities. Both have continued to gain OP abilities at an unfair pace. Both have won fights they shouldn't have, due to luck or OP powerups. And both of them have, in certain instances, worked hard to accomplish things. Stop arguing about it.
Waah, Naruto isn't good anymore because everyone is too strong It's a Shonen manga.

Perhaps you should read up what the "definition" is of Shonen Manga instead of making up one yourself so you can "win" a arguement(s).
So, logic tells me that....., you lose. ^ ^

^--- Exactly my point. I never even attempted to define "shonen" in my post, but this guy appears and (a) claims I gave my own definition, (b) claims, without evidence of any kind, that this phantom definition is wrong, and (c) arbitrarily uses the word "logic", as if by merely saying it one can be assumed to have employed it.

Perhaps not directly, but you gave up that term as reason why certain arguements were "invalid/wrong". From that point one can easily deduct what your "definition" is of "Shonen Manga" and it's real "definition" can in no means be used as a valid counter the way you do.
Next time, think before posting, it helps. ^ ^

For me personally Naruto has gone downhill ever since shippuuden started. Only little things like Kakashi Gaiden were things I was super stoked about^^. Nevertheless I still enjoy reading it weekly, but the original or pretimeskip series was so much better imo. It got better with the pain and world war arc though.
I think what bothers me the most is that Sharingan is apparently the most imba thing in the universe and is often even displayed as >> rinnegan^^. Not to speak of Byakugan which is completely ignored now. In the beginning it was said to be sth special with only 3 sharingan users ( sasuke, itachi and kakashi) alive but I'll never forget my "rofl wtf "moment when Danzou pulled his 10 sharingans out haha. Also, Nowadays the Manga is pretty much s-class ninjutsu and super doujutsus. I miss the basic ninja things the series used to have.
The biggest thing is Naruto's heritage though which changes a lot of things Kishi spend time with to built up in part 1. While I like the fact that he's the son of the strongest Hokage to date and the former nine tails jinchuriki, it completely in my opinion ruins the moral of the hardworking ethic ( which Naruto and especially Lee displayed) vs. the Geniuses born with imba powers^^ ( Sasuke & Neji) shown many times. I understand that it had to make sense plotwise but I guess for me personally that's the factor between Naruto and One Piece.
While Kishi's is a nice to read manga, One Piece is just so godly because Oda plans his little details even lets say 250 chapters in advance.

No, the problem is that you don't understand the definition of the word "definition". What I provided in my post was a characterization of Shonen manga, not a definition. Anyone familiar with the genre could have predicted from the very beginning that Sasuke and Naruto would become extremely powerful.

Hiruzen was the strongest hokage, and the first may have been stronger than the fourth. I get what you mean, but there are some highlight moments in shippuden. But the thing about the Sharingan cannot be ignored. Okay, so the rinnegan is the strongest eye jutsu ever? bullshit. Itachi has a jutsu which brings up a spirit with THE BEST SWORD EVER and THE BEST SHIELD EVER. I don't know of any ninja who can beat that, except maybe someone with izanagi, which I'm not sure if Itachi can use, but still, give another skill to the sharingan.
