While I like the fact that he's the son of the strongest Hokage to date and the former nine tails jinchuriki, it completely in my opinion ruins the moral of the hardworking ethic ( which Naruto and especially Lee displayed) vs. the Geniuses born with imba powers^^ ( Sasuke & Neji) shown many times. I understand that it had to make sense plotwise but I guess for me personally that's the factor between Naruto and One Piece.
While Kishi's is a nice to read manga, One Piece is just so godly because Oda plans his little details even lets say 250 chapters in advance.

I don't know of any ninja who can beat that, except maybe someone with izanagi, which I'm not sure if Itachi can use, but still, give another skill to the sharingan.

Even thinking that the rinnegan is weaker then sharingan proves that you didnt read the manga well.
(btw it also took naruto(+fox), bee(+ox) and itatchi to bring down a weakened nagato. Nagato wasnt even able to walk on his own a couple of chapters before the fight. And lets not forget, naruto bee and ititchi are atm rediciously OP.
If you read the manga, you'll see people saying that hiruzen was the strongest hokage in his prime and the strongest kage in his age. The sharingan has a fire which practically kills almost everything, a top-level genjutsu, some sort of demon god and the ability to defy physics, not to mention being able to keep up with opponent's movements even if they're better than you. And watch the fight between nagato and those three again. Did Itachi ever look like he was in any danger at all? The rinnegan is definitely strong, but atm the sharingan is really broken, especially when the damage from using it can be completely forgotten.
Are you kidding me? The Rinnegan is by far the strongest Eye-power. It allows you to control 6 bodies including their speciallity. Are you telling me that a Sharingan user like Itachi could take on a team of Sasori (Who acording to the manga was most likley the strongest Akatsuki member (including Itachi) and Orochimaru? No chance in hell and that still leaves 4 realms! FOUR left that you can but any super stronk ninja in. Hell vs Sasori all the powers Tobi has displayed would have gotten a run for his money.

Seems time has gotten to you. First of all he didn't lose to Sakura. He lost to Sakura being controlled by a legendary puppeteer. Second of all, Sakura had antidotes to his poisons something nobody had before her. Thirdly he was dicking around the entire fight, he didn't aim to simply cut of the chakra threads and end Sakura. He was having fun. Fourthly he didn't lose, he could have blocked Sakuras final stand, but choose not to.

The fact that it's said in the series. Deidara says so when he admits that Sasori is stronger than him. Also look at his ridiculous skillset. He went up against a hard counter to himself. Antidotes, another pupeteer that could dodge the undodgable attacks. ect ect. And he still won that fight.

I kinda miss the old days of naruto now... There were quite a few things I didn't like about the pilot that he fixed before starting it, had forgotten how awesome it was.

TBH I think he just got a brilliant editor (or whoever he used at that point). Pretty much every single change was for the better. In the original Naruto is just an asshole, not a prankster. There is no reason at all to feel sorry for him. Moving out of just your standard city with magic to the "sort of techy but not really" that is today is also great. And ofcourse the introduction Iruka was absolutley vital for the series. Great changes made, but it's also fun to see what Kishi had in mind when he started.
