As much as this chapter screamed "The power of friendship compels you" I really liked it compared to most of the other recent chapters. Might be because I've always had trouble getting a sense for fights and understanding where everyone is at/where they're hitting with what attack in manga form. Easier for me to follow stuff like that in an anime. Does that make me a filthy graphics whore?

Based on the previous posts, there's only one direction for this manga to go toward. Naruto going to collect all the beasts on his side via talk no jutsu to rid them of their traumatic life, going from tsundere to bff. Tobi and Madara going to be defeated, naruto going to awaken his blood line through the senju clan or take tobi's eyes and cast the Eye of the Moon plan with the help of the tailed beasts. Except he does it so Sasuke wouldn't be so emo.

If my memory doesn't fail me, tailed beasts used to call each other by numbers, not ... names, or wait, 8 tails just called 9 tails 9 tails in the same chapter -_- I like the theme of how people treating each other (no idea how to word it properly) and self's identity that Masashi been doing very well throughout the manga up until like 1 billion random fights with random people that it seems to go off the track. Then when it finally back to focus on the theme, he just doesn't do it right anymore. Its quite established that most beasts hate eachother. The ninetails especially hates the eight tails, so they use those words as insults. Another explanation is simply. The 4 is simply obssessed by titles, as you could see when he introduced himself. The other tailed beasts might not give a shit. Then how do you explain that Bee never adress 8 tails by his name, they're pretty close to at least know each other name right? Your explanation of Tailed Beasts calling each other by number as insults seems forced. The only thing that's established about their relationship is 1 tail hate 9 tails, 9 tails hate everyone else, they have never mentioned anything about other tailed beasts, and the 8 tails seems pretty friendly to me :/
Easy, Bee is an idiot and hachibi knows it, he (hachibi) either a) never bothered to tell bee his name b) did and bee doesnt give a fuck or forgot almost instantly

Where did people get this collecting beasts idea from? This is naruto not pokemon.
Naruto is going to help cure the beasts of their hatred, so they may coexist alongside humans without being denied of their lives. All they've ever had in their lives was being sealed or controlled, and used as weapons. That's why the 3-tailed beast was living peacefully in some hidden body of water somewhere, he actually had free roam and a chance to do shit. Then Akatsuki sealed him etc.
Because naruto is the new rikudo sage (this is heavily implied) it is only natural that he will be the master of all the tailed beasts when his sage-ness is revealed. By being the only one who was ever nice to them, they will gladly favor to help naruto against whatever ultimate enemy he may end up fighting. Then everyone will realize he's the sage and yadda yadda.
The point is, naruto is not collecting them. That's the opposite. Naruto is finding a way to stop all the hate and set them free.

this name idea wasn't exactly new, one tailed tanubi was called shukaku remember?

Hmm, I think naruto is going to have to use his wind rasengan at close range to hit madara, hitting his own chakra points and thus he can never cast any more jutsu to save the world, as madara was only hit once by naruto's dad by timing it just right with his rasengan.

Hell He doesn't even use his own name. The 4 tailed beast seems like someoe nobody would like cause he is stuck up as all hell. But it shows that the beasts have personalities and that probably leaves alot of room for conflict. We know that the shukaku hates the 9th, the 9th dislikes the 8th and the 8th and 9th seems to think the 4th is a twat. The one tailed beast had a name all along, and we havn't met the other hosts.
so what I would think is. 8th cause bee is a moron. the ninetails wouldn't give naruto his name cause that would be a sign of concesion and the one tail was refered to by name.

This series has really been improving in my opinion ever since the ninja war started, and I am no longer tempted to drop it. The main problem currently is that Sasuke has become irrelevant, and his reappearances seem awkward and forced. Also, the pacing in some of the chapters is strange.

speak for yourself. the only chapters i truly enjoyed for action was seeing the uchiha fight and even more so sasuke's. i don't see how anyone enjoys manga when everything just happens to go the main character's way every. single. time. if you wanted that, go read fairy tail. what you deem as irrelevant i deem as importance. you're probably another one of those sasuke band wagon haters. if anything at all, the manga has become far richer in depth based on the way tobi has built up sasuke to the man he is. sasuke actually takes on fights all the readers are uncertain of. everytime naruto takes on a fight, he wins. naruto just brings power out of his ass and owns his opponent while sasuke is constantly always tested to his limits especially at the hokage summit.

Naruto loses fights. Sasuke doesn't because he pulls some bullshit no jutsu to win every single time.

Against Bee: 4v1, and Bee escaped. Against Raikage: Match was stopped, could have gone either way. Against Kages: Sasuke was destroyed. Against Danzo: Danzo kept a reserve of chakra to fight Madara, so was not fighting at full strength. Not really seeing the bullshit no jutsus here. Naruto has been in a couple fights though with opponents who clearly should have beaten him. Naruto hasn't really been winning bulshit fights in this arc that much (except against dead raikage) so I don't really see the problem. But it is true, Naruto does not lose often due to a skill gap, even when the opponent is more skilled than him.

applaud. finally someone with their head on straight which doesn't start a discussion with the words LOL SASGAY or any hate at the mere appearance of him. half these clowns bash sasuke for a MERE 1 page appearance.
and how does sasuke pull a "bull shit no jutsu" do you even read the manga? naruto's ultimate form with kyubi's chakra doesn't even put a strain on him and the 9 tails stopped taking his own chakra giving him an unlimited supply of 9 tails chakra. now that's BULL SHIT no jutsu. need i remind you in a recent chapter the 9 tails just gave him chakra randomly for the mere sight of madara and he summoned a billion clones to stop the wood jutsu of madara now that's bull shit.
sasuke's susano has strained him every single step of the way and has put a toll on his body until he has fainted. his mangekyou sharingan illusion duration doesn't even last long and requires precise timing to use it skillfully just like did vs danzo. and you want to compare bull shit no jutsu? you might want to read the manga first because it's people like you who blab off nonsense without any knowledge of what goes on and brings the thread down.
man half these guys are so into the underdog nonsense, hero worship, and band wagon hate they don't even recall what has happened in the chapters and can give a sound argument it's pretty silly.

let's be honest, show me a popular manga where the old as the main character kill the young consistently and are praised for it.
it doesn't exist. it's called main character shield. this comment is actually quite silly. there's a reason the main characters are drawn young and the manga marketed towards children / people in their early 20's. you're still forgetting you're still reading shonen comics at the end of the day need i remind you.
