While I'm sure this will turn out epic, I really dislike the general formula being used here. Basically, they ignore the main character so that fans want to see him actually do something exciting to the point that when they just simply bring him back in again it's exciting. It feels so cheap. What a cheesy way to write a story.Anyways, I really couldn't care less about these characters all that much. The last few chapters have been better, but the fights between Hanzo and that samurai guy and some of the other ones with newer characters introduced are boring. I really can't see Naruto being on the field any time soon either, because I really feel like the good guys have been winning all these battles. Something will have to go terribly wrong before Naruto comes on the field to save the day. After Konoha getting blown up, it's going to have to be something really big now. If I had to guess someone really important is going to die soon.

Once he became a Genin I do not see how Iruka has any impact heck I saw him as weaker than Naruto despite being a Chuuin. He's one of Naruto's last remaining father figures (the 3rd and Jiraiya being dead). He's also one of the few characters that doesn't rely on being a walking weapon to be plot relevant. This could actually be an interesting development, but somehow I think I'll just end up being disappointed.

If so, are we being punished for complaining about the war arc?
