If they brought back like 10 guys, they'd have time to demonstrate new techniques, etc that makes those guys strong and legendary. But with too many characters most of them will probably win/lose in a few panels, basically like chuunin/ANBU fodders. Like who is Muu? Why is he so amazing? What arsenal and tactics does he possess? Nope, he'll probably be resolved in less than 1 chapter. Completely agree with the bolded, and it always ruins these sort of shows for me. I can understand the "they keep getting stronger!" in a show like DBZ, since they come from accross the galaxy, but when everything exists within a finite continent, it seems absurd that people keep comming out of the wood works which challenge/beat up characters who just beat the "super badass boss noone could stop!" Apparently Jiraiya would have trouble with a lot of normal henchmen they started running into based on everything that has happened. Also, the older members of Akatsuki are apparently fodder.

Its not even that. DBZ used it core base of characters throughout the entire series. any new characters were somehow directly related to the dbz cast in one way or another. But naruto isn't even about naruto anymore. hell, when was the last time we saw sasuke or sakura?

I do not want to see sasuke until his final battle with Naruto, and even then I want it to end in 2-3 chapters or so. I actually like seeing a lot of high skill level battles instead of the usual "One immortal boss vs 20 heroes". But I do agree that way too many were revived, 10 would be a better number than 50.

Directly from Journey to the West story. All the weapons, even the character names. He didn't even bother changing em. I call plagarism.

Well it was actually decent then 2 things ruined the characters imo: 1.) They were swallowed by the 9 tails, sat in his stomach for 2 weeks and lived. Come the fuck on. The 9 tails is supposed to be so unstoppable that 2 ninjas who DIED survived in his stomach? Something is up with the balance of power here. 2.) They almost killed the Second Hokage in a coup. I swear every time the Second is mentioned he's either a complete badass or a substitute ninja. I would have been fine with the characters if those 2 tidbits weren't thrown in.

Every long running series has some sort of twist/mechanic which is supposed to re-energize the series and bring value to things that happened a long time ago that we thought had no meaning. They choose this one. The problem is it seems to diminish or cast a strange light on everything that has happened up till now. Having said all of that, this still makes more sense than Bleach. The swings in power in that show makes absoluto-fucking-lutely no sense.

I mean the gold and silver guy is lifted straight out of the the Monkey King stories... They have the fan and gourd stuff as well.... not to mention that Monkey King guy that the 3rd Hokage used to have with the staff that turns into different sizes... Why oh why does he have to go into that kind of crap for naruto??

I expect more kishi my grind about the revival of 7 legendary swordsmen, and the twins are okay. but summoning their weapon like Doreamon's 4th dimension pocket is bullshit. These legendary weapon should have already been found, destroyed or wield by other. For the magic word part, just pretend that's some HxH nen crap, or Bleach's mind trick bankai. ![]()

As to what's in the coffin, my theory is maybe madara's body somehow. Of course, this would mean that the madara we see now isn't the real one. Or not, I know it's a stretch.
