Despite all my Naruto bashing, I fucking LOVED this anime. I mean it's the anime that got me into watching subs, with the Inuyasha dub being my first "serious" anime. I hated that it became a Sasuke emofest with a bunch of random shit thrown in and forgetting about a ton of the side characters. The Zabuza arc was such a great arc, and that's why I followed Naruto. I mean, the emotion and comradery and shit was so good. I think I stopped after the exam arc. The exam arc was really good as well, but after it became all this Orochimaru/Sasuke crap I stopped. I know it will never go back to its roots fully as everyone is too strong to do those small missions, but what is the feeling of the Naruto world right now? | ||

When I first started watching, it the Chunin Exams arc that got me interested but after the whole Sasuke is gone, the missions were rarer and shit just got so emotional. To me, till after the Chunin exams, everything was to become a Hokage but now, Naruto has to escape/fight with all those Akatsuki members. Hell, I thought it was a good addition but not when I read that there were 8 more Jinchurikis out there getting captured by the Akatsuki. To me, everything went shitty from that point onwards. I like Naruto right now where its at and it definitely can't go to how it was before despite all my peeves. At least its better than Bleach which I just read for the sake of reading. Hopefully after all this mess, Naruto can actually get back to becoming a Hokage. | ||

The great emofest has thankfully ended, and the manga has gotten pretty good. Skip all of the original naruto and go straight to shippuden. The first third of shippuden is gold, the second third has some good parts but mostly emo sasuke shit, then it is gold again for the last third. | ||
