Its just for ssj3 where goku is losing ki/stamina while having it on. ssj-god was always something different to me rather than a straight up powerup from ssj3 it was literally like being able to tap into godly powers, blue being the version of that doesnt require a ritual.
But this is where it gets confusing, while ssj god is sayian exclusive. god ki shouldnt be (aka blue), and yet none of the earth mortals have it or picolco. atm its exclusive to goku and vegeta hell gohan doesnt even get it....
(the truth is goku and vegeta get it because their fan favourites, and gohan gets shafted with mystic) but because of these favourtism i feel like they're writting themselves into holes which even fan cant bullshit their way out of, and ultimately that disappointing....i actually really enjoy reading and trying to explain things in dragon ball even if the writers at the time didnt have it all worked out.
UI is another thing added on to it, we dont even understand red and blue (in the anime) and yet now theres UI, can anyone get it? is it exclusive to those who have god ki? why doesnt jiren have it? why dont the gods have it?

I just imagine that SSJ 1+2 need/drain so little of their energy, that the «waste» doesn’t matter anymore when it comes to keep it going, but its still not there to use.
But when it Comes to this DBS seems to have retconned a lot, at least i don't remember Goku losing his SSJ2 form after every Kamehameha in DBZ  .

Why you say Jiren doesn't have it ? we still didn't saw him fight seriously.

I think it went to shit slightly earlier than that though, starting with when Goku Black got the scythe. Before that is was good but that was the tipping point towards irredeemable stupid.

Yea I'm not reading through the thread because of spoilers. Just wanted to vent about how disappointing the end to the Future Trunks arc was. With that being said I've enjoyed Super so far so it's not that big of a deal. The tournament arc was really cool so I'm excited for the next tournament (which I believe is the current arc once I catch up?).
@LegalLord I'm not surprised that they got fired. And yea I agree the ending was bad before the Vegito stuff, I just kind of think they redeemed themselves with how cool that fight was shaping up to be then they just ended it. I'm cool with Trunks being the one to finish Zamasu off because it's his arc, however I still would have liked to see Vegito do a bit more

What's the difference between anime and manga for the end of the Zamasu arc (I read the manga starting a bit before that end)?

A few differences in how the end actually happened, but ruined by the fact that they couldn’t have Vegito finish it and kind of jumped the shark with immortality leading to a zillion Zamasus that Zeno erased. Read it yourself, the summary would take about as long as reading that chapter.

Check the manga version. Still a bullshit ending. But it's different bullshit. And the story, characters and fights are very diferent.
On other manga stuff: still haven't read the moat recent chapter. Viz is not available on my country, need to find aome working proxy because it looks like fan translations stopped caring since viz is doing it online and officially.

Manga still had stuff like + Show Spoiler +red/blue switching, focused blue, hakai, trunks healing, diferent zama fusion design, vegito super savage, god magic of creation
And in the manga Blue seems to be a very different upgrade from the anime, same with Red/God.
Too bad manga didn't do Ressurection of F. Was curious how different it would be.

I don't know what anime series you're watching but to me the current tournament arc is much worse, with much more horrid characters. I'd love to know which idiots sat around the table and said: "Hey, let's make characters that are about LOVE which are on par with SSB!"

Personally I like this arc way more than the last one, but I also think Jiren is a great character soooooooo

The Zamasu arc is like FF13. Started out decent, writers wrote themselves into a corner and had to BS to get out.

No they didn't.
It's true that with immortality you tend to write yourself into a corner. But they had a perfect way to get out of it: by making Zamasu lose it when he fuses. They should have taken that golden opportunity to write their way out of it and it would all go well. But no, they had to make it really stupid and botch Vegito and stuff. That kind of bad ending is on them and there's no justification for that.

That's why you never touch immortality with a 10 foot pole. You're probably gonna fuck it up. The Zamasu arc was just such a stupid idea in like every single way. The only good component was future trunks.

Black goku was cool! Vegito savageness in the manga was cool! Fused zamas magic was cool, new ssb form was a logic step forward with a good handicap. The only cappy thing was immortality and how they have dealt with it.
