The writers could create some arbitrary loophole that allows Frieza to have the power of the gods/ survive even without Goku/ U7, etc. A lot of it is just theorycrafting at this point, imo.

The last fighter gets the super dragon balls, so if U7 win, or if he think they will win, he might betray them to make sure he is the last one standing. I assume he want to become a god, or maybe even take Zenos places?
Even if U7 wins he go back to hell I think.

I'm quite sure at this point that Freeza defecting to U4 was little more than misdirection. It was a plot point clearly related to the actual reality of the situation but also it didn't actually happen. Someone played it off from hype purposes.

Hum, dunno I kind of assumed it was the same things, the winner of the tournament was both the best and the last, but now that you talk about it maybe we could have a scenario where those are different.

I assumed the winner of the SDBs would go to someone who entertained Zeno the most.

I am not convinced Zeno restoring a universe is any less trivial than erasing one.

Lets be honest there is 0 chance that if Zeno give the DB to his favourite fighter it's not Goku.
No way the writer don't use that opportunity to tell us how amazing, extraordinary, genius, courageous, gentle, honest, charming, goofy, strong, tenacious, resourceful, easy going, loving, respectful and overall perfect Goku is and how everyone else is basically trash compare to the magnificence of the one and ONLY main character.

All these Freeza theories assume that the Super Dragon Balls are stronger than Zeno. Can somebody really wish to be more powerful than Zeno?

Zeno himself doesn't seem to be that powerful. The grand priest seemed concerned and had to shield the Zeno's during Jiren and Goku's spirit bomb attack.
Zeno also appears to have trouble seeing some of the fighting (it's before the Jiren vs Goku fight iirc) where he had to use his pad to slow down and see what happened.

It's supposed to be the best fighter, but I have a feeling it's really the last fighter. I wouldn't focus too much on what they said before hand.

Well if they wanted to they could have U7 lose but Zeno picks Goku as best fighter so he gets to do w/e with the SDBs

The super dragon that super shenron serves appears to be the strongest being of them all. So yes, you can wish to take out zeno.

That was the best episode in awhile, special beam cannon, namekian fusion, u2 AND u6 gone, father son kamehameha, AND we finally getting the invis fighters next episode

+ Show Spoiler +well i'm expecting freeza's plan is to have goku eliminate jiren in UI form, then golden can take out the fatigued goku, making him essentially the strongest as I'm sure he is absolutely confident he can beat Vegeta
