I'd be way more hyped if gohan gets his ass beat and piccolo shows them who's boss then vice versa. Piccolo would be way more hype if he was at Toppo-ish level.

Buu saga Gohan and future Trunks Gohan were both so awesome that no one is willing to let go. Myself included.

I think I would like it better if he stop fighting and just hang out with Yamcha, Videl and such outside of the action and help from time to time with specific scenario instead of this in between thing were he is suppose to fight but never actually matters. A bit like Bulma, android/cell saga (and going forward) Bulma was more fun then Namek Bulma where she was still somewhat in her Dragonball role but didn't do anything.
Does anyone else thinks that the tournament of power won't get to a conclusion? I think something's going to interrupt it. Right now they already eliminated all the good characters or characters they took time to build (including...urgh ribrianne). All the rest are no names that have been barely even mentioned if at all. The only interesting characters left are Jiren Toppo and Dyspo, however with so many characters from U7 still remaining...I think there's a reason.
They are going to make something happen and U7 alongside Jiren will solve it. In the end they'll wish the erased universes back, but it's not going to be because they won the tournament (as that would defeat the purpouse of it).
Like Frieza somehow going super-rogue, somehow attaining power so great that even the Zenos can't stop him/ don't care to, and then Jiren + U7 stopping him?
I just don't know why any potential interruption wouldn't just be finger-snapped away by the Zenos.

We still need to see what U4 is up to, I imagine their invisible guys will at least eliminate 1 or 2 members of U7, the namekians could eliminate Picolo next episode, maybe the robots also gets one of them before falling out? And then we need to see Frieza plan, I am guessing he betray u7 at some point so that's one less members either way. So you take that into account and I think we will have a 4-3 situation/ 3-2 situation between U7 and U12 at the end.
I would think we still have at least a bunch of episodes left, if something stop the tournament I think it would need to be at the very end. If there is an interruption I think it would be from the grand priest, maybe he try to stop the winners from reviving the fallen universe?

The thing that has me suspicious is that there are too many fighters from U7 and not enough from the others that could be powerful enough.
Sure they could make jiren eliminate 18,17, Gohan, Frieza and Vegeta but.. that would be lame. As far as we know no other fighters are on the lvl of the U7 fighters. Vegetta can beat toppo and Frieza can beat Dyspo, so...

Yeah, that's my thought as well. I don't think someone fucks up the tourney. I can't imagine anything Zeno doesn't like being tolerated. So, if the tourney was interrupted, it would need to be in a way that Zeno wanted.
Why do you all think Frieza is going to betray U7 ? The most important thing for him is his survival, what benefit would he get from betraying U7 since they're winning so far ? The only universe I'd see him side with is U11 with op Jiren, but I don't think the Pride Troopers would agree on an alliance with Frieza anyway.
