Two best parts of the episode:
Goku and Freeza: Very in character, pretty nice, quick dialogue, nice reminder of what a well-written character looks like.
Hit and Champa: Nice development for Champa, not yelling but congratulating Hit for his work. Not being whiny, but optimistic. Also good writing.

I know you love DBS, for me these fights where the Z fighters dont even have to go all the way to beat those weak enemies are just fillers and emotionless.

I prefer to think of it as development of other characters and just something else going on. If the show was just a bunch of consecutive end-game fights with Goku, I don't think it'd be nearly as good.

It'd be nice to have off characters fighting, and it wouldn't feel like filler, if it just felt like time and care were taken to write them. But there isn't. All the fights involving Ribrianne I literally just skipped through, and I don't feel like I missed anything. Piccolo's fight with nameless sniper where he throws arms away like they're going out of style was a joke. Tien sucks. Gohan isn't getting the spotlight he deserves. Fights can be interesting without being Goku v Jiren, but they don't seem interested in doing it very much.

Edit: Roshi did get some love though, and I liked that quite a bit. I wish he had more chances to shine like he did in the tournament.

I am convinced that Ribrianne will be one of the very last characters to be eliminated. She's there to fill airtime whenever their story for the episode doesn't quite fill up the entire time slot.

The most neglected character so far has to be Cabbage. He was ignored throughout all the U6 interactions so far in favor of Kale and Cauliflower. He's the one I want to see more of next.

Ribrianne will either last a while or go out in a U2 last stand. Hopefully the latter.

Well, the preview at the end of the episode shows a bunch of Cabba screen time next episode. I just hope some of the episodes we see next are good without filling too filler-ish.

And I'm really convinced U2 is there to fill airtime. It's easy to stretch their stupid antics to waste time whenever they need a minute or two to fill the episode with.

There are 30 remaining fighters left and unless I screwed up my count, I believe that half are fillers from universes 2, 3 and 4. So that's quite a few more before we finally see the remaining fighters from universes 6, 7 and 11 fight it out.

Yeah the other fighters just don't have any decent fight other than roshi.

The fact that goku and jiren are miles beyond everyone else doesn't help.

Even vegeta and freeza feel horribly underpowered in comparison

Neither one has really done anything though. They've been fighting mostly in base form the entire time. Vegeta and Freeza will probably each take out someone from U11 and then they'll join Gohan and roll everyone else with aid from U6. After that, it's everyone remaining (U6 + U7) versus Jiren.

Goku and Jiren may be above everyone else, but I would still enjoy fights between fighters who are decent enough. My major gripe is that outside of U6 and U11, the other universes haven't shown anybody that is clear above SSJ1 and we know that Piccolo and the two other androids are beyond that already. Its is pretty much three important universes and five filler universes. And some of the filler universe characters are just annoying.

Really need to wonder how the avg power level of U11 is not in the top 5? out of all the universes in the upper echelon, Jiren by himself being destruction god tier should greatly raise the avg of U11.

U11 is top 5. It's the 5th highest Universe, one better and they'd be exempt from the tournament.

I'm pretty sure the exemption is based on development and not power level. That includes non-martial arts things like culture, the sciences and the arts. The exempted universes may not necessarily have better fighters or stronger GoDs, just that they are more advanced in terms of development.
