When Super Saiyan 2 Goku punched Jiren square in the face, Jiren didn't move an inch. What are the odds these jokesters manage to move him?

But Jiren was fighting through the technique anyway. I'm doubtful they could have just pushed him out. Maybe should have blown up the part of the ring he was standing on so he falls out.

Just blast the ground from under him, like that one guy did with Tien.

Poor Hit, and I'm also surprised that Jiren totally called Goku weak with the whole "back to nap time now... no one left can touch me" line. I assume he'll wake up out of his meditation again at some point when he realizes that he's wrong... and I hope he's wrong, because I don't want Vegeta and Frieza and the U6 Saiyans to all get beaten simply by Toppo and Dyspo or any other fighters who haven't been highlighted much yet.
|
Why are you surprised? Goku is rather weak at the moment. He got enough energy from Freeza to hold himself together and that's it.
|
I am not surprised, but seems that Jiren underestimates how Saiyans work. So long as Goku remains in the tournament he can pose a problem to Jiren eventually. If he truly was certain of victory he would just wrap it up and remove everyone else now. Giving people more time just shows that he is leaving time on the clock for someone to surprise him.
We know dyspo is not stronger than Vegeta/Freeza, and Toppo likely is on par with them, although I think he would lose in a 1v1 with either of them. This means that if Jiren just meditates, then he will likely lose since if he is only 1 left at end and anyone else has 2 warriors, he auto loses.
|
I'm surprised because no one expected Goku to transcend to UI, and I feel like it'd be hugely overconfident to assume that he or others are incapable of pulling out other tricks or doing something else unexpected. Even Jiren doesn't magically know whether or not someone would be a threat in this battle royale before all the trump cards are played by the fighters. I think he's underestimating the situation, even if he is the strongest.

Is fusion allowed in this tournament?
Would be nice to see Ultra Instinct Vegito!

Unsure on fusion, but for Vegito they would need potora earrings, which would disqualify them since they would need to get them from outside the arena from a kai.

Not sure if I want another Vegito after the last disaster....

why not a "canon" Gogeta then 8)

Half of the tournament = 16 episodes. I kind of get the feeling the last episode is going to be like 10 minutes of tournament time. But so far, we've got 24 minutes completed in 16 epiaodes, meaning about 1.5 minutes per episode..

Still better than the original Goku vs. Frieza though, right?

I'd welcome a Gogeta fusion if it meant kicking Jiren into the stands. Too bad it's not allowed. Or it will be once Goku convinces Zen-Chan to allow it. Seems he can get away with almost anything.
I was thinking why didn't they all go super saiyan/legendary and blast Jiren/the ground away. But whatever. I'm expecting Cabba to hit ssj3 this tourney.

I dont want cabba to go ssj3 at least in this tournament....vegeta never even achieved it
New forms are awesome, but hopefully they dont just blast them out one after the other and for goku only. Wasnt everyone else meant to become relevant? where the hell are their powerups, and by that i mean i want to see a powerup not just oh well i guess 17 can fight goku blue so hes just as strong. Even gohan's mystic form had that stupid dance thing from elder kai. (Which btw the kai's have become complete retards)

I thought Whis trained them generally in base form because training in a transformed state gave less results.
I know in some training you see them transformed, but most of the time they are not. I felt that since they got both SSG and SSB, ssj3 was a rather pointless transformation by comparison. It's extra stamina loss to maintain was too big a difference compared to just going SSG/SSB. In terms of stamina needed vs strength/speed gained.

As I was saying, Jiren is clearly underestimating his competition. He knows Hit is the ace of U6 (U11 had an entire episode of trying to break him) and Goku advertised himself to the entire world with his exhibition match theatrics. The others have kept a much lower profile. Also Saiyan resilience.
The next few episodes + Show Spoiler +are all about the other characters as Goku recovers, so expect they will get some screen time.

Next chapter seems to be: back to the boring fillers.

he's not as strong, even if goku goes blue, he can surpress so much of his energy. he even went blue vs krillin for gods sake.
i'm really disappointed with what they made with piccolo and gohan this tournament. all their sections are so boring. gohan is just being a weak little pussy and piccolo just follows him everywhere.
hope gohan gets blown off soon and piccolo ascends in some way, maybe by taking energy from the U6 namekians or absorbing them, and then fighting someone strong like toppo.
