I need tao pai pai to somehow make an appearance.
He's going to zip through the World of Void on a tree trunk he threw from Earth.

Scene zooms in on him flying in a tree in his typical pose. Both zenohs look over at him and greet him as "Tao pai pai Sama". All of our collective heads explode.

And fuck the holier-than-though "justice" crap. Hoping Jiren gets knocked out by Tien.

Seriously, that's kind of exactly what happened here. And fuck the holier-than-though "justice" crap. Hoping Jiren gets knocked out by Tien. well, that's obviously not going to happen haha. Episode was pretty good overall, if mostly for Roshi using his brains and some of his opponents being funny like the first one running off the stage rofl

This was perhaps the most pleasant surprise to an episode in the entire series. I went into this expecting Roshi to end up being a perv anyway, then somehow use some sort of stun technique to take someone off the stage with them to save Goku after Goku is just downright fucking retarded. This episode was awesome. Magic and "technique" played a really cool role here and it is so refreshing to see in DBZ. It made me realize how not-magic a lot of fights had been up to this point. And they did it so well. Roshi did some cool shit, the enemies were pretty cool except for the ultra traditional woman who didn't want to be ruined or whatever the fuck. The only negative part of the episode was when she ran off the stage saying she didn't want to be ruined for marriage. That was a sign of times changing a lot and was just kind of like "lol wat -_-". The whole of Goku quickly going Blue to save Roshi was huge too. Roshi became an insanely likable character in a single episode. The feels. Blue brushing aside someone Goku struggled with in SSJ reinforced my idea that Goku is basically using the entire tournament as a warm up for Jiren. He is encountering any and all situations and trying to really push himself to be 100% on his game by the time he fights Jiren or Hit. 2 amazing episodes in a row is really encouraging.

I want to believe you but the time thing just ruins everything for me. He took out 3 people in 1-2 minutes according to the ending voice. All of these people have been taken out in less than 20 minutes. That's really fast or they really suck. In my opinion, they should have just erased a few universes so we didn't have to sit through the bullshit fillers. U7, U6, and U10 (right?) are the only ones worth paying attention to this tourney. Every other universe is just a warm up for the heavy hitters.

U1, U12, U5, and U8 are not in the tourney and are not getting erased.

Just waiting for the filler/fodder to be over so we can get back to the fights. Was 18 pounding Vegeta filler? Piccolo's first fight with Cell in that city when he was in his first humanoid form? I think these little fights here and there have been really cool and still build a story without being end of arc fights. Taking out the furries was awesome. Hit + Goku was awesome. Roshi was awesome. Honestly, I really like this arc and I don't see it as all a waste until we see Jiren fight. Edit: But don't get me wrong. Seeing the sailor moon transformation like 3 times was unforgivable. That was trash.

The timer is really silly. They could've easily set a longer timer rather than doing this and having a voice over after every episode saying that the entire thing only took 2-3 minutes per episode.
