It's possible mikasa will also help I'm more concerned about the armored and colossus guys (i forgot their names xD). they don't seem so bad somehow and i'm more curious to find out more about their past than anything else at the moment

![]() Given the purpose of constructing the walls was to prevent titans attacking, there would have to be a way to give the humans defender's advantage more than can be seen in that panel. Obviously it is just a snapshot of one portion of a city but I would imagine there would be ways to make the layout of anytown a little less titan friendly, and a bit more 3d maneuverable.

If it's just a regular mindless Titan i'd be kind of pointless, killing him isn't going to change anything

+ Show Spoiler + I warn you this is latest chapter stuff+ Show Spoiler + the elite humans are actually the titans from outside, and the purpose of human civilization is to be harvested and eaten by titans *evil laugh* But no srsly, + Show Spoiler + the walls were pretty advanced engineering stuff since + Show Spoiler + it is packed full of titans even way before humans got inside it.

Also I'm guessing Erin and Mikasa are going to be so scared they can't do anything. Revitalize that fear within them that up until now was largely rage.

The thing was only proven to be useful in the last few years, so the buildings far predate them. Also I'm guessing Erin and Mikasa are going to be so scared they can't do anything. http://www.mangabee.com/shingeki-no-kyojin/48.5/ In the chapter a Titan even infiltrates and the narrators says they don't have 3d maneuver gear.

Yes, but it was only proven USEFUL in the last few years. Before that every time they attack titans they lost horribly, so no one took it seriously. Don't you remember the opening chapters? Where they rode in the town, said they lost completely and there was no hope, and that everyone thought the exploration team was pointless? They had the technology, they just didn't know the weakness of the titans.
