This season is supposed to be all about rebuilding, but we also know how easy it is for characters to turn out to be backstabbers or written off in some other manner. For that reason, I'm wondering what the fate of Alex (Dule Hill) will be. What do you think?

voted hell stay as a minor character. i think his relationship with harvey and mikes relationship with harvey will show that harvey doesnt have what it takes to be managing partner and the season closes with jessicas miraculous return. yay

not sure about you guys but Harvey bulldozing Mike into dropping a pro bono case for a big client sounds very plausible and it's exactly what it takes to be a Managing Partner to me ... it doesn't matter what the circumstances, when you place your firm on top of everything else, which you should do as an MP, it's gonna be the decision ... Jessica wouldn't have thought twice ...
him handling Louis was a bit of a bully though ... but to be completely honest i don't like the fact that they're turning Louis into an emotionally unstable wuss that everything Harvey says seems to break his spirit too easily ... he's a freaking senior partner of a law firm for fuck sake ... people like him don't break that easily ...

What it means though is that he is letting his clients bully him exactly like what almost happened to him at the start of the season. If he is going to be in control he has to dictate terms to the clients not the other way around especially when the conflict is virtually nonexistent.

Bully is a strong word imo. He had to choose between a big real estate developer and a pro-bono case. That's a no brainer imo. You don't have to (and should not anyway) strong arm a big client into your terms when you're not getting anything in return. How's winning a pro bono going to help the firm trying to climb back up from its fall? PSL is not in a position to demand anything at this stage, and Harvey made the right call.

If they can just dictate what cases they can and cant take based off virtually nonexistent conflicts they will never get back off the ground because there clients will run over them every step of the way. The way Harvey Specter deals with clients was shown in S4 when he said "I dont take meetings I set them" but he is letting someone else's clients dictate terms because that person is his friend and he is shown to be bad at doing what needs to be done when it comes to Alex. His instinct was to drop them and his instinct was right. Its what Jessica would do, its what Harvey would do if it were his client but he balked at the opportunity.

not sure if it's just me but i'm severely unsatisfied with the latest episode, the whole attack from both fronts, Rachel confronting Stephanie then the scene at the Plaza .etc made me feel like they were leading up to something and it just died off ...

I liked the camaraderie that emerged by the end of the episode (especially with Alex being a hero and a team player) and the Zane/ Zane phone call was cute at the end... and then, of course, the last 30 seconds were just "God dammit, Mike, why..."

What do you guys think Alex did? Considering how great of a guy Alex seems to be + how quickly his old boss dropped everything against PSL, it's probably something absurdly awful.

yeah its pretty obvious alex's secret is going to be a major shitstorm later. im guessing its going to end up with alex leaving to protect the rest of the firm.

Nah he handled it all pretty well... although not 100% sure about how Harvey found out about his gf's ex.
This whole Mike secretly working on the prison case thing is getting pretty dumb. I understand the difficult position he feels like he is in but he is smart enough to find a better solution than him secretly working on it episode after episode.

You're right that things turned out okay in the end for Louis's secrets (so far), and yeah you'd think that Mike wouldn't be dumb enough to go back to + Show Spoiler +. Based on the teaser for next week's episode, it seems like + Show Spoiler +Rachel and Harvey are going to hardcore flip a shit over Mike continuing to lie about the cases he's working on. I hope Mike comes around.
Also, why was Donna acting so bitchy this episode? It made me sad

donnas been acting like a bitch for a while now. her know it all personality at the start was fun and made her enjoyable to watch, but now its having negative effects on her character. its probably because she still thinks she knows it all when in reality she knows jack shit about her new job

I like where the season is going, but Donna and Mike have become pretty terrible characters. You know you've messed up when Rachel is the voice of reason.
