now that i think about it, i rkon it probably was a zane who snitched on mike the last couple of episodes raised major red flags about the marriage so it makes sense that the marriage does indeed fall apart. it would also be in rachels character to go fuck it all up by going to her mother behind mikes back and explaining everything so that mike doesnt get the blame for ruining rachels dream wedding.

im not complaining though. i hated that couple
I feel like this last season has shown that Rachel + Mike can be great together and that Rachel doesn't have to be a bipolar bitch :/
yeah but this season still showed shes incompetent and cant actually do things on her own, such as mikes first case as junior partner or even plan her own wedding

? She handled Mike's first case, big time! It got off to a rocky start because Mike ran out and left her high and dry (which is more of Mike's fault than Rachel's), but she eventually ended up finding a solution to the case that helped everyone. She pretty much cleaned up everything the best way that she could. (She's also not even a lawyer, remember.)
As far as the wedding goes: A lot of people (especially women) have a lot of details planned out for years, so for someone to do a complete 180 on a lot of their perfected ideas can definitely be something considered peculiar. Plus the fact that a lot of people (especially those who can easily afford it) have wedding planners, so it's unsurprising that her mom (the woman who knows her best) was helping her lay out the details and then became suspicious when Rachel's wedding plans were flipped on their heads. Granted, she may have been able to hide her lies a little bit better (but then again, moms can frequently tell when their kids are lying), but her situation with planning a wedding and changing all the details last second isn't so much a lack of her competence, but an inevitable situation brought on by trying to accommodate for Mike's lie. That's my perspective anyway, as someone who's been planning my own wedding for the last year lol.
Oh god, I can't believe I'm actually defending Rachel. lol.

she didnt find a solution that helped everyone. she thought she did until mike told her she had overlooked the fact that the company had signed a contract with the government which would lead to mikes exposure. pretty much the only thing she did on her own without consulting mike first led to mike's secret being revealed to clare. i guess i could cut her some slack with the wedding thing, but shes still incompetent

Well she's not actually a lawyer and she was forced to handle her own case... Let me put it this way: I think she was far more incompetent and divisive and idiotic in earlier seasons, than she was this past season.
oh yeah definitely her character has progressed throughout the series. shell just never make the cut for me though. i dont care if she wins a fkin nobel peace prize i will always hate her

Yeah I'm trying to approach her character more open-mindedly :/
My fiancee missed the last two episodes so we're watching them together on xfinity. And she hates spoilers. And then what happens but half the commercials are of Suits teasers, with Harvey saying he's resigning and Mike getting arrested. Sigh.
I'm just wondering how in the hell the show's going to go forward with Harvey and Mike gone from PS...something's just gonna have to bring everyone back to the office.

With Mike getting arrested for any level of fraud (however minimal or dodged it may end up being), it really should be enough of a scare to force him to leave the firm for good. I could see Harvey finding a way to go back and work at PSL (something just needs to happen to Forstman), but Mike really shouldn't "be able to", according to his character's state of mind. He wants to leave and start a new- and safe- life with Rachel.
