He baited the fight and basically begged for it then based on the preview took it to court once he could not win. He wanted that fight and crying foul to the ref when you lose is one of the most childish looking things he has done this episode though it did sort of make Harvey rejecting his sister all for nothign since they clearly had chemistry. Im more hyped that Mike is most likely going to fail to reject his promotion (I have a good theory as to how he will fail) and then he will be junior partner and junior partners get there own secretary so Mikes awesome secretary will return.

Throughout the episode it became harder and harder to dislike him, and when he sincerely told Hardman off he 100% became in my good graces. I hope he eventually becomes trusted and doesn't solely become more fuel for misunderstood bullshit drama. The episode overall was relatively drama-free with lots of sentimental moments, until Louis and Harvey fought. I can understand where Louis was coming from- he and his sister had just become closer and then Harvey made her cry/ betrayed his promise to Louis- but it still wasn't a particularly smart decision for him to attack Harvey like that. Technically, Harvey was clearly in self-defense too. Also, who the fuck is Mitchell. I totally called dibs on Donna.

He baited the fight? He was mad because he trusted Harvey (as he should since Harvey is a man of his words). Harvey had a reputation of being a womanizer, sure he doesn't date married woman but it doesn't mean he's serious in all of his relationships. Facts are: - Harvey has a reputation - He made a promise with Louis that he would not hook up with Esther but did it anyway - Esther was seen upset/near tears after she spoke with Harvey that night That's reasonably enough for Louis to jump into the conclusion that Harvey hooked up with her for shits and giggles and ditched her afterwards. Being a(n) (over)protective brother, it only made sense that he confront Harvey and wanted to beat the shit out of him. You could say that he shouldn't have picked a fight that you can't win, but I find it more manly that he did, rather than trying to get back at Harvey via some backstabbing shits that he did previously (which I think he might end up doing in future episodes anyway)

After Hartman got his ass handed to him by Jessica, Harvey, Louis, Rachael, and Mike, he spent most of his year away (due to the non-compete) looking for dirt on anyone in the firm, to figure out a way to take them down. And he finally found it: Mike's secret. This whole process is a chain of events that would have eventually happened (ie., Mike getting offered a Junior Partner position), but Hartman put it in motion. And we know how much of a conniving little bastard he is. Best case scenario is Mike declines the offer saying he isn't ready and wants to continue his work as an associate to "put a few more years under my feet," so to speak. Worst case? Mike gets fired (or leaves), Harvey is fired (or leaves), Jessica is ousted as named partner and Hartman comes back into the firm.

However, it seems that Jack actually wants Mike to get a much-deserved promotion, since Jack sincerely told Hardman to leave him alone. That scene (where Jack tells Hardman to fuck off) wouldn't have existed if Jack was still secretly trying to undermine Pearson Specter Litt. Right?

Yeah, I think Jack is sincerely trying to make things right this time around.

And in retrospect, it's pretty surprising that this is the first time Harvey's dirty dick has gotten the firm in trouble.

He's an okay character but he doesn't have the redeeming quirks like Louis. But maybe he can be a bad-ass anti-hero in a more ambitious way than Louis. And in retrospect, it's pretty surprising that this is the first time Harvey's dirty dick has gotten the firm in trouble. I don't think we have enough information to confirm this. He's definitely a grinder and an opportunist, but we'd have to see him jump to conclusions and betray Jessica from this point on (which will probably happen because of miscommunication- like always). I'm looking forward to the next few episodes with him though, so that his persona is better fleshed out.
