There's something that gets me lost every time though: what happened to Marie, the albino dark elf girl of the first chapter? After her amnesia she was turned into comic relief for the side-story, with the author saying he'd continue until she catches up with the rest of the characters in a particular place, but then she never did, and we never heard of her during the 2nd chapter.

These are good (though idk about Magician/GotW, gonna check out), but also read the breaker and the second season of the breaker, it's super good. Magician is #2 after ToG imo, just really unknown and underrated. The breaker is awesome aswell. Girls of the Wild never got me but many people seem to like it. Also Ruler of the Land is really nice, not sure if it's korean or chinese tho. Agreed but regarding magician + Show Spoiler +the latest chapters the "breakers-nim kyaah" has gotten boring I wonder if the mangacow translation of what anak said was wrongly translated, a guy on batoto said it was past tense which means that she said "you WERE dead" instead of "you ARE dead" it's huge, since it means anak recognized him (and SHE got a good look at his face / eyes as shown by the close up picture on baams face, unlike androssi), and I wonder if Lee Soo will recognize him as well, he should have some wings to give him
It definitely didn't specify past or present tense. Anak said "너 죽었.. !!" which could be "너 죽었어!" which would be present tense and a commonly said threat.

Breaker was decent first season but second season was pretty disappointing + Show Spoiler +with powerless arcs that last way too long and then he randomly goes super saiyan in between (current power-up arc seems like its going to be relatively permanent I guess).
God of High School was promising but + Show Spoiler +combination of going from martial arts to random spirit powers and MC's pretty BS power-ups kinda ruined it for me
Noblesse still pretty solid, Ability is really slow to get anywhere but I'm willing to give it some time and Girls of the Wild is a pretty short and easy read with nice colored illustration (can't say much for the plot unfortunately).

so, has the story picked up? I read the first page and seems like the pace is pretty slow? I don't know much about this manhwa but I've been reading more manga/manhwa these days so I want to start reading this if anyone can guarantee that it won't take another 10 years to finish LOL

Holy land is reallly good if you haven't read it. No BS and very cool. I never really got into Veritas so i quit after like 40 chapters.

Unless SIU retcons what an Exis is, I sure hope we never see Phantaminum in ToG. Every single character would be rendered irrelevant in the face of that.

lol cmon, that's not fair  I take my time reading mangas/manhwas lately because I find myself looking at the art so I can only imagine this would take me several months to finish since I don't have much time to dedicate to it everyday >< lol

Phantaminum is almost certainly going to be shown in the latter stages when most of the characters are Rankers or near the 134th Floor. As an Exis, he is a literal god who can erase the ToG universe with the wave of a hand, and I know this is something that cannot be ignored. As far as his role in the story currently, he slaughtered a lot of Zahard's guards and met him face to face, along with Yuri. Apparently Urek is seeking Phantaminum urgently, while Enryu is probably researching and biding his time to face him.

I think it was incredibly stupid from SIU to introduce this kind of powers. I hope he never appears or SIU backtracks.
While I was writing this, I checked the ToG wiki:
"Note about Exis: SIU admitted it's a crossover from a different manga/manhwa/webcomic. So most of this stuff is mainly how it works "outside of Tower." So nothing is 100% confirmed and some things can change."
So there's hope. Eventually SIU will realize he can't create an interesting story around Phantaminum without significant plot holes.

SIU will only introduce Phantaminum at the end of the manhwa, to make way for the new manhwa he's making after TOG.

even though the company's translation is the same as mangacow's, im not so sure. in the korean version the author cuts it off on purpose very strategically to leave ambiguity. if you read it in korean, the words are cut off so that you can tell its something to do with death (youre dead/you were dead), but it doesnt specify which. its perfectly possible that anak could have been saying you were dead before she got transported
