You can see the red on his right arm. Whatever it is, I believe that is what he used.

Regarding the ring it seems to be consistent of three parts. The ring itself, the gateway octopus (receiving and sending shinsoo) and the receiving octopus (turns shinsoo into water?). It appears to me that the gateway octopus is in the proximity of the ring. While it was stated that it is impossible to get the ring off, i think there might be the possibility to destroy or damage the gateway octopus, thus blocking the path of shinsoo flow the ring created.

In that case I'm surprised it worked on Baam, unless the requirement is strictly based on your rank and not on actual ability, or even at this level Baam is far less powerful than we think.

Remember what makes rankers powerful, it's mainly contracts with guardians etc that make them powerful (which probally would obsolete the ring). Really a sweet thought that, what makes you powerful among "normal" rankers and regulars, makes you powerless vs Zahard I'd be very suprised if FUG had Baammake contracts with the guardians at all or would get them at all, cus that would make him unable to kill Zahard (atleast from the way I interpreted it)

Cut Hatsu outta that list, the last guy is unknown and probally the guy who Androssi lost to in the e-rank regular finals (otherwise she wouldn't just have been in the finals but have won it)

+ Show Spoiler + Well, Rak clearly knows Koon is alive now and Androssi has reason to suspect that Viole is Baam thanks to Goggles.

On the other hand, who has sent the most people up in the end ? I though Baam was going to, but he hasn't send the other members of his team up, so I guess not. Btw, it's not clear, but Rak has more than probably made contact with (maybe even blue-shotted) Koon, we can see his (mini)-shadow behind Koon and then the image of Koon looking behind himself.
