The art got really bad. The story is getting worse and worse. ToG is still an alright read each week, but it's no where near the quality it started off at

I don't think it got bad, it just that it's a manwha you need to read periodically, dozens of chapter at the time otherwise it's tooo slow paced. It was epic as fuck because we read the first part in one-go while now we have to wait every week for a little piece of story.
And I think the art has gone better if anything.

the art was preeeetty bad when it started.

I think it was this forum (can't find the post so possibly not) where I said that SIU fails at integrating his interesting world building and ideas into a comic format, and my guess is this is why a lot of people now complain about it. tog's story and world have a ton of interesting stuff, mainly if you read all the extra material, but SIU simply sucks at conveying this information through the actual comic. It was fine early on, when the characters were few in number, but as he adds in so many characters, all with their own backgrounds and motives, there's just too big of a gap between what SIU says in all the extra info and what is actually being told solely through the comic.

My issue with the art is obviously personal, but I really liked how it started off almost looking like something that was hand drawn (or was) and then digitally colored, whereas now it just looks straight up digital and perfect. I believe the first post in this thread mentions the art being something people might not like. Siu has had a ton of wrist problems though, and I can't blame him for switching styles if it lessens the pain/problems, but after surgery I was hoping it would revert back a little.

As for the story, I just think it's boring. I haven't enjoyed anything about the Hell Train arc, and the new big bad that Baam surely can't beat but probably will is just...stupid. Siu has just introduced too much shit and I find myself constantly more interested in what is happening in the world around Baam than I do with what is happening with Baam. I don't like that. I enjoyed following Baam up the Tower, I enjoyed some of the arcs and storylines...but this chase for Rachel has got to go.

edit: also, at least we're talking about it again

I'm having the complete opposite experience from you guys. I went back and decided to reread the whole thing as I was confused on a few points and a little bored, but once going through all of it in a short-ish period of time its actually pretty interesting. I'm still really hooked and can't wait for the next chapter.

From my understanding he attacked the train and caused damage to the station making the train late to depart. Thus allowing Koon and Baam to catch up and board the train.

I'm thinking his bro is a ranker (possibly high ranker) who broke some rule of the tower about not interfering/ using power in the lower levels to stun the train so Koon & co. could get on. We've only seen a handful of rankers/high rankers so far, but it's probably safe to say that a good number could literally obliterate a lower floor of the tower (well, ignoring the guardians anyways)
