1) The internet explorer logo: I am not sure if you drew this yourself or if you rotated an existing logo, but it kind of sticks out as off. Maybe its because the edges are so sharp in contrast to the rest. 2) The highlight on the right eye: I think it might be too far from the eye itself, looking at screens from the show, there is rarely a time when the highlight extends into the white of the eye. and when they do it is just barely, not over half of the highlight. Whether or not this was your intention I do not know. (also it is intentional that the pupil is brown instead of black?) 3) The contrast from the light blue on the left end of the face to the rest of the body seems a little too strong, I would think that chest / front legs would be slightly lighter, though that could just be personal preference. I would also make the back right leg a little darker than the back left leg. 4) While everything else has some shading too it, I can't really see anything in the bag strap. Hopefully you didn't mind my critique, I guess a lot of it has more to do with personal taste, but hope it helps anyway. | ||

The design had the darker blue on the hooves, and that's why I made it like that, the logo I just pasted in there, I know it is a little too sharp, but blurring it would ruin it even more. | ||

Ok, so I am assuming the body is not supposed to be a uniform color, but different shades of blue like the IE logo? | ||

Honestly, if you want to incorporate what I've done, you might want to get a bit of experience sketching and drawing real hair and real eyes. My deviant art gallery can be a bit deceptive at showing you how much black and white portraits I've done in pencil. So my "tips" to you would just be to carefully observe real eyes and real hair in black and white first then consider colour. ( do google image search on eyes or blonde hair and just try and draw the most prominent and important aspects which stick out to you. ) oh and this might be useful to you: general advice: don't be afraid to leave the whites of your eyes a little blueish gray. be very conservative of where you put your whites and blacks. My initial recommendation is to try painting on a non white canvas ( maybe blueish gray or multicolour: http://fav.me/d4w838j )) and just plain not pushing your colours to black nor white. Try to keep lighting consistent. The highlight in the eye and the lighting you've got on your pony seem a little inconsistent. Doing a lot of black and white renderings for practice help a lot. | ||
