My biggest problem with the royal wedding was that it would be considered a success if everything was boring and according to plan; my favorite part of the pony version is the fact that everything apparently goes straight to hell  | ||

and I hear this ep was another one of the best ones yet if somepony can post the 480p in the thread when it'll be uploaded (I'm avoiding EqD due to any possible spoilers about anything, and also avoiding IRC for a while), that'd be awesome, thanks in advance | ||

Ok, so the writing itself was VERY solid, nothing super exceptional, but every was just really good. I loved the lesson because fuck journalists. The animation guys, THE ANIMATION WAS SO GOOD. But back to the story, I really liked how they went with a more complex resolution process. It wasn't an embodiment of the show like Last Roundup (well its a CMC episode so that would be hard anyway) but I really enjoyed it as an isolated piece of really good writing. That along with all of the 'fanservice' (its not the best word, but for lack of a better one I'm using it) made it very good. I'm not gonna rate it out of ten because that's not a very accurate measurement. I give it .8 Last roundups. Its a pretty good episode, my favorite CMC by far. | ||

However incredibly predictable, lesson was more forced than usual, and no one's actions felt of real consequence due to pacing. Nice continuity references. Next week + Show Spoiler + Looks awesome, best Pinkie episode incoming. | ||
