so earlier I was trying to think of how I'd rate some episodes score-wise, but it's just so incredibly hard since some eps are not really comparable to each other despite on their own having the same score in my head, so I rather ended up with grouping them like this for s2:
the best episodes:
The Last Roundup, The Return Of Harmony pt. 1 & 2, Sisterhooves Social, May The Best Pet Win
really good ones:
Lesson Zero, Sweet And Elite, Luna Eclipsed
pretty good ones:
Secret Of My Excess, Hearth's Warming Eve, Family Appreciation Day
mediocre ones for MLP:FIM standards (still not bad):
The Cutie Pox, The Mysterious Mare-Do-Well, Baby Cakes
I'm curious what everypony else's tiers would look like since there have been some mixed opinions about some eps in the past upon first watch.
Also I think that while s2's first half (of course not counting The Last Roundup into it) easily beats s1's first half, s1's 2nd half might've been slightly more awesome overall than s2's first half. Though based on all the leaked information, I think they left some of the most groundbreaking stuff for the 2nd half of s2.
Also there are now more than 300 people on the fanlist, yay~.

So, I *finally* watched the episode. It was really, really enjoyable. Not much for me to say that hasn't been said already. ^_^

hard to pick, pretty much loved all of them except Cutie Pox really.

And about the Luna Eclipsed: Quess I just dont care about Luna that much for the episode to be automatic 10/10. I did like the way how she was represented(royal Canterlot voice made me laugh) but otherwise it just felt really medicore. Also I was greatly annoyed by that little british(?) pony running around.

That episode started off really good (basically cause of the bowling scene), the setup was kinda dull, but then the last half was hilariously good. Overall it was really fun to watch, can't see why people wouldn't like it.
Like I said before I can't think of an episode of this series I really hated except for Mysterious Mare Do Well, that was Merriwether Williams's first written episode and I thought she didn't really "get" the show but afterwards she wrote Hearth's Warming Eve which was pretty damn good (and had a lot of the back and forth dialog that makes this such a great show).
Hopefully she continues to write good episodes.

Same here, and even then Mare-Do-Well's grown on me over time.
There really isn't a single episode that I haven't at least partially liked, which is pretty damn remarkable for a series that exists to sell toys when we're 40 episodes in.
