No, this is not a joke/trolling thread. We don't need more filler posts asking if it is. Remember to spoiler season 6 content, and clearly label your spoilers.

Fluttershy ![]() oh, and the actual snyopsis + Show Spoiler + Season 2 Episode 16: Read It and Weep Summary: Rainbow Dash secretly discovers the joys of reading when she's laid up in the hospital. Air Date: February 4, 2012 It doesn't sound bad, but since we are almost 2/3s of the way through season 2, and episode that doesn't feature fluttershy from here on out is just going to piss me off more

Kind of a 'meh' episode in my opinion. Didn't really like the plot.

meh, nothing special. At this point I think that sweetie bell, applebloom, and Granny smith have all had more screen time than either pinkie pie or flutershy. Which is bad.

I enjoyed the hell out of it, personally. Scoots proved that she still exists, animation was incredible as usual, and I fucking love world building. Kudos to Cindy Willow(s?), who I think is a new writer. Can't remember her name on anything else, anyway. This was uploaded at 10:49 AM Eastern time, btw. My god people work fast... + Show Spoiler + ![]()

Actually, Cindy Morrow wrote Griffon The Brush-off, Winter Wrap Up, The Show Stoppers and the owl ep as well. + Show Spoiler + also they previously said they had wrapped up winter without magic for hundreds of years in ponyville. Granny Smith being hundreds of years old? unless that was just a careless mistake or 'hundreds' wasn't meant to be taken literally, it'd still be better to know that ponies live for a long while in this show :D this ep was as good as it can get without any mane 6 interaction, and this was the first ep with only 1 of the mane cast being in it, and she was even a background character the zapapple trees and the timberwolves were totally cool stuff and apparently silver spoon isn't as cruel as diamond tiara, she's just a follower of hers

It's quite the coincidence that the only person old enough to remember the start of the town (who is senile at this point) happens to be the one who is solely responsible for creating it. It's also weird that no one in that class, not even applebloom, had heard that story before. I mean, it's kind of hard to believe the person that thinks painting the interior of their house with poka dots will make jam taste better...

This is one of those episodes that puts comedy in the backseat, so it's either a love it or hate it episode. I liked it for a change in pace which keeps the show fresh and entertaining. I really liked the story at the end, whether or not it was Granny Smith being senile again is up for debate however.

The plot felt like one we've seen before, but the execution still had me smiling and laughing often. I, too, love worldbuilding, and those apples are awesome. I kind of wish they were glowy blue instead of rainbow, but eh, rainbow is cool too. I kind of like how it's unclear if Granny is telling the truth, or just the truth as she remembers it now XD. Overall, I really enjoyed the episode, but I love my plots, so I can't help but still enjoy Heartwarming's Eve more. That, and Pinkie rocked that episode. It was so weird to not have an episode end with "Dear Princess Celestia..."
