this could be my favorite episode ever 10/10 for sure.
Rarity is the most developed pony by far and this episode just makes it stronger. It was consistent with all of their characters (something i felt was being missed this season) even when she was running with the upper crust she did not ever forget about her friends, she was always talking about twilight's party and her dress.

The writing on this episode was absolutely top notch. Fancy pants was a really cool BG pony, he surprised me at the end, would not mind seeing him again. The mane 6 showing up to canterlot was also unexpected (for me) and it gave us more mane 6 action! The pony party was a lot of fun

there was a lot of good things for the fandom. TONNES of new BG ponies, new rarity looks, hot air ballon yachts, party cannons, octavia, and a Seinfeld reference (Twilight at the garden party was doing the ellain dance)!

I liked how the mane 6 did not scald rarity about skipping out (it felt kind of weird when they did it last episode) It was good that she realized the lesson on her own, also the song was super catchy :D

watching it the second time around I am sure this is my favorite episode, SEASON 2 IS SAVED!

I saw this episode very much like the last one. One character was perpetual showing negative character traits until the end lesson, which doesn't seem like they learned anything. The writing for this episode was better, rarity showed a bit of remorse throughout the episode, rarity procrastinating is more entertaining than rainbow being annoying, and she actually did turn around in the end. But those positives are nullified by having to deal with fancy ponies the entire episode, which are tedious to watch, and I don't think even atheistically look good (as oppose to all the other background ponies which look good)..

There were good things in this episode: The song was a quality song, the party cannon was great, and there were little white dots falling from fluttershy's birds, which I am choosing to interpret as the birds were shitting on the other ponies. But a few nice parts isn't enough to float the episode.

I have to say, I like the synth pony (black shirt, white tie, sunglasses, spiky hair).

Pretty cool how they had photofinish in a scene, also the party canon was just awesome. That all mane 6 actually did something was really refreshing; Meghan McCarthy doing it right.
With the new letter system they have more freedom to do episodes on a single character, but to have all mane 6 incuded not just as background usually adds a lot to the episodes.

Just watched episode. Rarity singing is great, but I liked the best pet song better ^_^

Rarity lying was good. In fact, the whole loyalty vs pride is actually pretty interesting overall. I liked the episode, it hits a particular spot with me, especially the part about holding true to your origins. Did not expect fancypants to be such a likable character to be honest, shows that snobbery doesn't go hand in hand with being a huge dick, which I think is an important lesson. Overall I enjoyed the episode a lot, although some of the more snobbish ponies were annoying.
