The only potential problem with skipping episodes is that you might not fully appreciate some of the best ones because you haven't developped the intended bond yet. But look who's talking, I watched the entire first season completely out of order. It's perfectly fine. | ||

Nope, although you just might be slightly less familiar with the characters if you skip some of the earlier episodes. Personally, I'd watch the show from 1-26, but if you don't feel like making the time, just watch the recommended episodes. If you don't like it after that, there's nothing more we can do for you except thank you for giving it a fair shake. =) | ||
