I just finished watching the third episode of Midas and god is it good. It's a bit like Salaryman but 10x better imo (and a bit more serious of course). Now I'm gonna have to waste the next few days on this show, damn it. I love it when I'm attracted to a drama because of an actor and it turns out the story is even more awesome.

To be honest I started watching Midas but got interrupted part way through because I decided to watch Smile,You instead. Might have to revisit it now that you mention it.

Don't watch Midas if you are only doing it for LMJ like I was. She has no role in the series and is a minor love interest. It is entirely about the financial push-pull relationship between the main male and female lead and LMJ's character is completely disassociated with the main storyline. Her screentime after a few episodes is very little.

That's the thing. I am often attracted to a drama because of a specific actor (here it was LMJ as well) but after 1 or 2 episodes, most of the time, it doesn't even matter if she/he would stop playing in it because I'm starting to love the drama more than the actor/actress

I guess it was a happy ending but this left me with a huge confusion. Why isn't gyung joon's face shown at the final scene?!?

Overall 3/5 The show was good! until towards the ending, it sanked. :[

At the beginning, I thought both actors would have similar screen time and that the whole drama would be about dealing with the swappings. I thought maybe Kyung Joon would go back in his coma and then Yoon Jae would wake up either in his own body in the middle of his fucked up life or in Kyung Joon's body.

But at the end, it was just another love story with a bit more action than usual. Not that there's anything wrong with it, it was a good drama nonetheless. I just fell like they could have taken advantage of the swapping idea a little bit more.

I dunno, the actor who played the real Kyung Joo would probably go down in history as the guy who managed to accumulate a shit load of fans through the smallest of efforts... All he had to do was recite a few lines, make a few facial expressions, and sit pretty in a coma over the span of 16 episodes.

EDIT: Also been meaning to add a new drama to my list. What's the general consensus on Sungkyunkwan Scandal? I haven't heard much about it apart from the fact that PMY is in it...

First ep of salaryman, about 1/2 way through and I have developed a burning hatred for Lee BumSoo's character. This guy is the main character, no? I'm not sure I am going to like this.

Well, he's the kind of actor you either love or hate, and even when you love him he can be annoying. I said actor instead of character because, at least for the 2 dramas I've seen him in (dr. jin and Salaryman), his characters have a lot of points in common and he acts them the same. Let's just say that his weird laughs in Salaryman aren't only due the "live forever" pills and can be really annoying at times...

EDIT: Oh, I always want to mention that I'm probably gonna bust my Bandwidth because of Midas but I don't care because it's so good. I haven't been hooked like that to a drama since City Hunter. I wish Internet wasn't that expensive down here

Just started my kdrama experience last week...and I'm addicted haha. I'm on episode 10 of "Love Rain". I have heard people say many mixed things about it, but I can honestly say it is best show I've watched in a while(if not ever). I've never felt this drawn to a show when it comes to being so into the story and being so excited for the next episode. I hope I can find many more shows that draw me in like this!
I was wondering of any recommendations to shows that are similar when it comes to story's somewhat like love rain. (sorry I don't have much knowledge of shows, and there are so many to choose from!) I am going to check out some of the shows I've seen some of you post about too.

lee beom soo was awesome in giant. liked him better in that than history of a salaryman.
awesome kdrama but it's 50 episodes long so prepare your bodies.
