Wait, before I post anything incriminating: is this thread spoiler free? But I can say this without spoiling anything: I waited over a year for Breaking Bad to start up again, and the first episode was fucking sick! BB never, ever, disappoints. Also, if this thread is spoiler free then where is the proper place to discuss breaking news on breaking bad?

+ Show Spoiler + Episode was insane, with the exception of the lab notes at the end it didn't really hint much to what is going to happen. Here is my prediction: The lab notes will make the DEA realize that Heisenberg is operating with some real money behind him, a huge investigation will begin. The appeal of this investigation will motivate Hank into getting healthy again. Jesse and Walt will continue cooking while coming up with a plan to gain the upper hand on Gus. Honestly I can't really come up with anything else, the episode didn't give us much to work with, other than Gus is a fucking psycho who only cares about his business interests.

No you're right, she's looking a little on the chubby side. + Show Spoiler + Also this "lab notes" may make for one hell of a season >:3 My guess is this will make Gail's death more interesting than just a homicide, but a link to the drug world making investigating his murder far more interesting, and so far more dangerous for Walt.

+ Show Spoiler + Also, I wasn't exactly sure I got Gus' reaction with killing the muscle. Some people suggested he was being unprofessional with the cooking or that he had been seen at the crime. I guess the crime scene thing is plausible, but I was thinking it might also be a sort of message. Gail and now this guy are the people that could or would replace Walt. They killed gail, now Gus takes care of this guy and they are all on the same page as Jesse said. Plus, it sends a pretty clear I'm a fucking badass, don't fuck with me message.

I think Gus killed Victor for a number of reasons. I felt the main reason that it was him that died is because he allowed all of this to screw up and for Gale to be killed. He was the one who watched over the lab and Gale which is why it was him and not Mike and it could also be due to being seen at the scene/his dodgy cook he started. i liked that he killed him in front of not only Walt and Jesse, but also Mike. Now Mike knows that he too has serious consequences should he fail Gus again, so don't expect him to be lenient on Walt anymore(no more professional courtesy house calls). I loved the ending, showing the lab notes diary. I thought the ep was going to end with Walt walking away so i was pleasantly surprised! And i absolutely agree with the person who said that this will lead to Hank getting motivated again, once they figure out that it leads to blue meth and he hears of it. Although i doubt they would think Gale was Heisenburg, one because he looks not even close to the descriptions they have of him, and two because the high quality blue meth is still getting produced(so theres no way an investigation would just stop at Gale).

I got the impression that mike may want to switch and work for Walter instead... I mean think about it.... Gus severed his ties with the mexican drug lords with Mike's help. If mike and walter were to go to the mexican cartels and present this, they could have their backing in taking down Gus. Mike knows that walter, while not afraid to kill, wouldn't just randomly kill a man to make a point. Might make a better boss than gus ![]()
