Personally I am not a fan of gtr/evo as sports cars and even the newer ferraris with the ediff, but daymmm they look good. Anyways will all future topgear eps be only 6 episodes long? With a special episode once every 2 seasons or so? I would love a return to a longer series but I definately think that theres alot more budget in the newer series and less driving around england.

He loves the gtr in topgear but in his side projects he hates the car to death because it refuses to go sideways and is filled with joyless electronic wizardry. Personally, on the episodes in the seasons, i beleive its the BBCs fault. It has to be, it costs alot to send them to say Africa to go on a wild goose chase across salt planes etc. And the BBC been cutting alot of money here and there, dropping shows etc. So personally i think the BBC cut it down, and thats why theres fewer episodes a season. Which is a shame, its such a well organised show, very funny at times but also shows you the new cars which are coming out for the price, and for me it shows me what i will buy when i win the lottery LOL!

The real Top Gear (UK) has one of the best productions teams on television. I'm constantly impressed by them. The US Top Gear is inferior in every way.

I've watched Top Gear since I was old enough to remember, but lately I've sort of lost interest in it. I don't care that it's rarely about car reviews any more - in my opinion it's peak was around four or five seasons ago when they were really pulling out the top notch stuff with fancy races and tours around Africa, US, Europe etc, but lately it just feels like they've run out of ideas when it comes out to the really extravagant challenges.

You get drama series or shows like QI that run for much longer, but six is pretty normal. I've watched Top Gear since I was old enough to remember, but lately I've sort of lost interest in it. Well, I would put it this way. In Season 4, 5, and 6 were when the big challenges started. The presenters came across as really enthusiastic about it, and were pretty emotional throughout. Season 7, 8, and 9 were a continuation where they refined their presentation and did some amazing stuff (Reliant Robin shuttle!). After that, the tone became more extravagant, while the presenters became a bit more inured to the races, so maybe we lost a bit of the original glamour and novelty. I feel that this season's been preeetty good though, especially with the episodes 2 and 3. Episode 3 was a very nice throwback to when all they did were cars. Episode 2 was a pretty toned down race, but I felt it was very enjoyable to watch considering the cars were affordable hatchbacks (or 2 of them anyways). I wish they had more challenges that felt "tough" like the Polar challenge, or Vietnam, or South America.

The challenges where the hardships and entertainment felt completely real, and not pre-scripted or self-inflicted through stupidity (though Clarkson's three-story house car thing was hilarious) were always the best ones.

Or perhaps something like the farming episode would be more appropriate to represent "not really a challenge, but still sorta entertaining"

Better in terms of production? nothing can match the original, plus the US cant even make decent cars
